Have you considered… oh, I don’t know…
Waiting until tomorrow?!

Also a quote from Ion:
“Ask not what Blizzard can do for you. Ask instead what you can do for Blizzard.”
I so wish that “challenge” and “suck incarnate” weren’t synonyms in the Blizact design meetings.
Don’t forget inflated health pools
Great game design right there - “if it’s not to your liking, just wait… until August!”
I’ve heard from friends that have done the Kyrian campaign about exactly that, and while I have alts in that covenant at the moment, I’ll probably just get the campaign done on a stealth class and switch everyone else over to anywhere else so they’re allowed to progress without being sent into elite hell.
Every expansion there always seems to be that one element where a designer used to mythic raiding thought “this is fine” when it really isn’t fine.
Exactly this. My kyrian character is my priest, and when I got to that point in the campaign the amount of times I died and had to run back was around 5-6. In my experience the sword didn’t do much good and Kleia was pulling aggro from everything so it was hard to strategically pull to get to the NPCs I needed to ‘rescue’.
Like you said a simple phased version would be an easy fix.
Wait until eye resets. (tomorrow) If I remember right, a kyrian pops up next to you as you approach the gates. Get to a weapons rack and get one of their weapons.
Go slow, try to avoid the 62 elites.
When I first got this one I wasn’t happy either. The place you’re going to is just stupid full of trash that’s 61’s, 61 elites and a few 62’s. Bad design. It’s just… bad.
Perdition hold is the absolute worst. I did the Kyrian storyline on an alt and oof, even waiting a day for the eye to reset, that quest is for the birds. I must have died 4x easily. Best thing to do if find someone on the same quest and do a party synch. I got lucky and found someone in the area doing the same quest and we had each others backs. Invis potions help a lot.
I did this on my DK. My initial reaction was similar to the OPs, that this was nuts. But I somehow tanked about 20 of those dudes at the same time and survived. I suspect the mobs were nerfed for the quest.
As many have stated, this
Maw wasn’t intended to do everything in a day. Hence the reset of the eye. If you choose to do the entire line at low gear and are not new, surely you knew already how the maw works?
Fwiw, I despise the maw. I spend as little time as possible there. Eye 3 tho? All good, I’ll be back later when it’s reset.
i am stuck with my monk in doing the same quest- died 3 times and still have to finish quest - got fed up and left
Lmao!
Mom’s always right, even when they’re wrong, they’re right.
Sleep on your problem and you will find it wont be such an issue in the morning.
Get better gear ?
