These auctions are posted in “BAD FAITH” (actual legal term). The intention is to prey on unsuspecting players.
Notice how his name has a ton of weird characters. this is to avoid mass-reports, whispers and mail.
this is 100% scamming. I bet if everyone did this it would be banned instantly.

Funny thing is you’re the one who is likely to get banned for making a post calling out an individual player

minimum bid on all of them. Make him cancel and repost. Then bid again.
Be the change you want to see.

I saw a player doing this on Grobbulus very recently and out of curiousity searched for what else they were posting. 20+ pages of auctions, almost every crafting component in use in late TBC and classic all with the exact scam depicted here. Many people reported them (report UI inadequate for this; had to add them to friends and find them in the AH in person when they were logged in at an odd hour- probably NOT an NA player…)
Of course, they are still making auction posts to this day and I still see them.
Dude that is exactly what they do. There are people on Faerlina who do this hoping someone screws up and doesnt bid but rather buys it. You bid it, then every morning the go through and cancel them all. Then relist.
They’re too busy banning people playing the game in AV rather than trying to prevent scammers on the AH.

Then post the same thing and undercut them every day. If they have a buyout of 2000g, then list one with a buyout of 1990g.
the sad thing is, they wont ban these ACTUAL scumbags but they will ban you for putting words in the wrong order.

I often go to the AH and sort by lowest price and just minimum bid the first 20 pages.
Why should they ban people for people being oblivious and overpaying for items? If you have played long enough to have earned 2k gold, then you should be smart enough to realize it’s a scam. Or you bought the gold, and well meh.
so you are of the opinion that hosting scams is OK. and anyone who falls for them deserves it?
