Coming home from a long day of work to have to tidy up the house and do the dishes before you can kick off your shoes and relax is the irl equivalency to the Mechagon, Nazjatar, and 8.3 dailies. 8.3 is particularly worse. I feel like I’m subjecting myself to work before I can sit back and actually play the game.
The minute I log in and start doing the new content I’m automatically wishing I could knock out this stuff and jump into PvP or Mythic dungeons. This is a very half baked and cheap way of slowing down progression and keeping players subscribing to the game. Instead of excessive time gates and monotonous dailies, have you considered maybe making fun and engaging content to keep the players renewing their subscriptions?

What would you like to see implemented as a method of keeping the content fun and engaging? Could you please share your ideas and extrapolate on them further?

Just because I don’t have the answers to that doesn’t take away from the fact that these dailies are boring.

Okay, well thank you for taking the time to acknowledge my questions. Bye!

Coming home to tidy up and do the dishes is a part of life.
Just like doing dailies in wow is a part of playing the game.
8.3 to me is fun and engaging content. I enjoy logging in and doing dailies with friends and my bf then going to knock out dungeons and pvp. We’re all having fun in my guild. Nothing feels like a chore and nothing is boring.
Are you wanting to log in and have things ready to go for you?
Because that’s not what an mmo is.

Nah I just want to be able to enjoy playing the game.

You don’t have to wish; you could just… do exactly that.
Do the mini vision that gives 2k/1k, it’s takes a few minutes, and then go M+/PVP.
That’s exactly what I do when I don’t like a particular day’s dailies, and I’m really not worried about the fact that some people will level up their cloak 15 seconds before I do.

I have to agree begrudgingly. I really want to like 8.3 but it feels like having a second job rather than a fun engaging experience. Back-to-back major patches with dailies to grind seems a bit much, imho. Couple that with being D/C’d or severely lagged (I should have known better than to try to play the game in the first 3 days of patch week)causing a Vision loss leaving me behind on cloak progression; it just overall feels bad right now. Hoping it gets better.

I would do wqs if they still had follower hanging around giving you like 100g each like they did in legion—but for ap–nope

I would say, stop making doing WQs for gear a thing. Make doing UNTIMED heroic and mythic dungeons worthwhile again. Give rewarding gear for winning bgs. I spend all my time these days just running around gearing up through WQs and it’s essentially being all dressed up for nothing.

Run M+. Better gear than wqs.

Well, one thing I do is leave the house untidy and use paper plates…
NO MORE DISHES TO DO EVER!
Being alone is great!

I got an idea. Take the respawn time for “rares” in the assaults down to 1min like it is on Argus. That would solve a lot of peoples problems right there.

This patch you can. The reputation gives very little you need other than a single essence.
Otherwise all you really need to do is the invasions 3 times total a week which take like 30 minutes each and the lesser visions at least once a week.
World content is really not worth doing if you don’t enjoy it this time around.

I like all of these and hate chores. So, not really.
I just boosted an alt in 8.3. Heroic and m0 dungeons are are still very much worth doing. I did about 10 heroics until I went from 380 to 415 ilvl. Then I did some m0 until they were easy and I was near 430 ilvl. Now I’m doing low keys.
What’s the issue?
They considered doing that then remember they have investors who care about hours!
ALL ABOUT THE HOURS!

I don’t enjoy the dailies in 8.3 for the most part and my core group of friends don’t like them that much either. But like I tell them when they get discouraged we have to do this to be able to do the content we enjoy (Keys and Raiding for some of them). We look on the bright side that we are playing together and having fun being together and talking and joking.
To use the OP’s example, people don’t like going to work 5 or 6 days a week but they do enjoy eating and living indoors. Its the means to the end.
