I find that the WoW trailer to be more on point with where the story will take you and the FF14 one was kind of a mixture of stuff, kind of hodge podgey. But then I see this as comparing apples to oranges.
As for the games, my friend and I recently started playing FF14 because of the state of WoW and are enjoying it a lot. I can see why people like it because the game has a lot more freedom to it than WoW does. Would I give up WoW for it? Depends on what the WoW developers have in store for us. Right now there is nothing that interests me in WoW and if 10.0 ends up being similar to what 9.0 was, then I could easily give it up and just play ff14.

Yeh, I mean, I’m sad that there’s a delay of course, but I do not think that they would have done it if they didn’t have to. It’s only two weeks and I think the expansion is mostly done, they just wanted to polish a little more. You could tell Yoshi-p was broken up over it still though. They started with a deep bow, and then the poor guy ended up crying. 
Edit: Especially irked since I’ve been waiting to change my race to Bun Boy, but eh, what can you do?

WoW looks fake? I mean… Yeah… you don’t see Gnomes and Elf’s running around in the real world shooting fireballs and such at each other do you? It’s a Fantasy world, so yes it is going to be fake.

Outdated? Hmm kind of. They updated the characters models so it looks much different than they did from back in Classic. You could say the same about Runescape, but yet people still play it and like it.

Wow is a Cash Shop… Let me rephrase this for you… Blizzard is a business. Yes, they make video games, but they are also there to make money… Just like Square does. Square is not perfect either. FF14 is really the only game in their library of games that was a major success.
The cutscenes is made using cgi and the game is made using outdated engine

I would say nothing,it’s a matter of taste. One being ,ff 14 is on emotion ,the other sl is more dramatic that is if you read it. Each captures people differently ,each gives a different window to the viewer and inspires the imagination that is a connection .
Op, is looking through the eyes of nothing more, yet one problem op is making a judgement trying to convince others one is better than the other to sway others to do the same.

I’m not bitter, I don’t care what people play. I was j9ust throwing a suggestion out there that would help players who can’t seem to stop bashing this game since many supposedly quit playing but can’t stop hanging out on the forum talking about a game they don’t play.
Or maybe…I am trying to give the devs and white knights a different flight as to why FFxiv is that good.

Yeah,different windows of view is something the devs should look into but they are two different stories some like it some don’t.
I have to admit wow has never been good on good emotional content,it does have some but never good.I don’t play ff14 mainly because I’m stubborn old bear and set on the story,most lore,in the game. Wow could use some good emotion.
As for swaying devs and white knights that is about a impossible as gravity not stopping a object from falling so many have tried only to whine up being hurt by the fallen object because of the twist wasn’t predicted.
What are you talking about? They have a long history of single player games that were popular/sold millions of copies.
