This hate for borrow power is just silly

Borrow power lets the developers do new systems with classes, without it being a permanent part of said class. If they did not use said system, Every other expansions we would have so much skill bloat, or just take so much time to redesign every single class like before, and the community hated it.

Borrow powers lets have try new systems, without it staying a core of the class.
So using it as a buzz word to blame something for why you are not happy with wow is just silly. When we had less borrow powers, we did pruning and class redesigns for new expansions and players was unhappy about that.

So lets just chill with the pointless borrow power hate. The main problem we should all have with Blizzard is how slow they are with tweaking numbers, and using the feedback giving on problems. They are not mobile enough. That is it.

obvi

People will complain regardless.

I rather have the option and not use it, than to have no option but the small mashed together kits we have now.

Oh trust me i know classes can be bad without borrowed power. I don’t think Blizzard can do anything right by them.

My issue with borrowed power is how bad it feels when it’s gone. So many specs are going to feel terrible when corruption gets axed. As if azerite traits and essences were already not going to hurt leaving.

Lord knows as a spriest i’m gonna feel weird without all my haste corruptions

I think the borrowed power hate is critique and it should not be considered pointless

i agree with everyone else though

The only reason why I say it is pointless because it would not change the core problems of the game right now. The borrow power system would just get moved more toward class design, and we would be in the same boat as without borrow power.

It’s nonsense, we have had different iterations of borrowed power since vanilla.

This is the part people don’t like. Because the system is usually one of three ways.

It is great and the class feels fantastic to play because of it. Then it gets removed and the class is back to not as great.

It just makes it feel horrible and makes the extent of the expansion not great.

Lastly, it does nothing of value only to be replaced by something else that is nothing of value or the other two.

Oh god here we go with the items are just borrowed power thing again

We are aware

The borrowed power systems of today and just messy and make the game overall worse than say full class reworks then go back to the more successful model of items are the only borrowed power

we don’t need them tho

It’s a valid argument because it’s correct. The borrowed power isn’t the issue, it’s the balance.

That’s exactly what borrowed power is though. It’s pruning and class redesign every expac. Just more complicated.

It’s not pruning, it’s adding and balancing.

No, it is pruning. It’s adding something, then pruning it at the end of the expac, every expac.

Lately countering people’s legitimate complaints with “Oh it’s just a buzz word” seem to be a thing. Now “buzz word” is just used as a buzz word! :grinning:

Then it isn’t pruning. It’s adding and removing the same abilities.

I don’t disagree.

But like i said borrowed power when lost can feel terrible and make any future iterations of a class feel terrible in the long run.

When we get borrowed power it’s usually on steroids or something unique unlike anything you would see from a borrowed powerless class/spec re-design.

How is that not pruning?

Removing is pruning. They are giving and taking away. The taking away part is pruning.

Because buzzwords are childish ways to explain your lack of point.

We’re not getting the same abilities though…

It’s not pruning, nothing is being pruned. It’s being added and taken away.

If you’re taking it away, then it is being pruned. What do you even think pruning means? To take away. That’s what it means.
