Looks at sylv bow, dagger, old warrior soul…yes, i believe you…100% haha
To be honest when they announced the new talent trees, I was thinking (hoping) that they would make one side of survival be the melee and one side be the ranged side with only enough points to max out one or maybe dabble in both. We have tons of choice nodes, why not make the first hunter one ranged or melee abilities?
He became one with the force
100% correct on this. Also they think just because a lot of ppl love the hunter thematically and alot of ppl play hunter that they are doing a great job with it and dont need to fix anything.
Example…the Chicago Cubs were owned by the tribune company in the late 80s and 90s and except for a few yrs tgey also sucked. When they didnt suck they refused to sign their good players cause no matter how bad they were ppl would buy the tickets and sell out wrigley field. They would spend less and make more. Without fans putting their foot down or changes in ownership the likelihood of changes is small
I wish they’d add a talent to make aspect of the eagle permanent. Plus add a few more of the melee spells to it. I.e. muzzle. Even if they needed to reduce the range slightly.
Gives people a choice then between ranged and melee. All in the one talent tree.
And what do all those items have in common that the Raz bow doesn’t?
That they are from shadowlands? That sylvanas was a garbage fight? I really don’t know what you’re getting at lol. Im just using those as an example of items lasting way too long. So there is recent precedent is what im saying. Titanforging wasnt a thing in shadowlands.
Rae’shalare is a legendary and thus expect to carry you through the expansion. This is no different than Thunderfury, Warglaives, Val’anyr, or Dragonwrath. I thought Edge of Night was a legendary as well, my mistake.
I don’t think OWS qualifies either. Higher than normal ilvl trinket because it drops off the last boss, so you’d compare it to a same difficulty trinket from the Jailer. Then again I don’t play any Strength based DPS, maybe they really like Haste or something.
Help !! We are broken! I speak for BM only a single target is acceptable as long as your using the razz bow ( don’t balance a class based on a raid only a rare drop). If we want to AOE we have to spec into it and it is maybe the worst aoe in the game its horrible.
The moment they rolled out a class locked to a singular fetish race in an old MMO you probably should have prepared yourself for more of the same and lined up contingencies.
If one thing will seemingly never change in WoW, it is the complete foolishness behind class design. Every single time I try another MMO it’s such a fresh air to see developers who care about whats happening around them.
They dont need feedback anymore, they need people with passion who like video games with a voice at the table.
Ill give you the argument for Rae, still think its dumb and a valid point that bis was from a previous tier. Dagger was bis offhand all through sepulcher for rogues. And our warrior in sepulcher was always complaining about how ows was bis 2 tiers is what I’m basing this off. Old leggos were better designed imo, vanilla and bc kinda excluded. Wrath leggos took effort, generally from a whole guild. Tf i guess as well, but warglaives, thoridal, those were just luck, same with sylv bow. I dunno, just in general not a fan of it i guess.
Reading my post i guess for stuff that powerful i want a little skill tied to it is what it boils down to.
Weren’t the quest items funneled to a single guy?
Yeah. I don’t know lol. Maybe im just grumpy after so many recent examples. I just dont want to be stuck using the same thing for a long time, getting upgrades is fun. Like it sucked having to farm iqd each new patch, so I’m super glad M+ rotation is a thing now. I’ll be happy if im wrong, just a bad feeling about this bow.
As far as legendaries go, my preference would be for something like Thunderfury, except without the need for an entire guild to funnel things to a single person (who can then leave the guild and completely screw over everyone who helped them, and can do so without consequence now with paid name changes, server transfers, faction changes, etc).
MoP cloak or WoD ring were the best experience for the most people, but that dilutes the reward for those at the top end when people can get the same thing from LFR.
I’d say maybe have a MoP cloak style legendary but adjust the ilvl of the final reward based on the difficulty you do the quest on, with subsequent quests to upgrade it if you move up to a harder difficulty.
Also, remember that Bow of the Dragon Hunters can take an embellishment, and there will be new infusions in S2 to upgrade current crafted items further.
I play all specs, been a hunter since vanilla.
Surv and Beast Mastery seem to be in literal shambles right now, which is insane in a class that literally has no other option but to DPS.
The hunter hate from Bliz is real, and is pretty aggravating. Not likely to continue playing since my favorite toon is just nonviable right now.

Hunter is still the only class that is entirely missing from keys higher than 25.
Honestly I have to laugh at that graph.
It is an absolutely incredible feat that all the specs in the game are that close with every single spec getting a full new talent tree this expansion.
In any other game with a normal community this would be a straight up miracle.
BM is doing great right now. MM and Surv are struggling. BM is among the best specs for Terros, Senarth, Broodkeeper, and Rasz.
Terros yes. Rest not really. And terros if you take away external buffs as an option then its just meh. Still smallish sample sizes on late mythic bosses.
Well I came back to get my hunter to 70. Guess I’ll wait a bit more. Played since Vanilla and not sure if I’ve ever seen hunter in such a worse case. Sad really as it’s just a fun class to play. MM is my game. What’s yours?
