I just bought this xpac a week ago and I’m actually shook at how they handled azerite/artifact power. This is literally the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen in my entire history of playing WoW(and I’ve done LFR), get gear upgrades that you can’t even use because your AP level is too low.

Most of the play styles for classes are great, the lores great, the game is fun, but being nerfed(in PvP and PvE) because you don’t have a neck leveled is ridiculous.

I mean, ofc the subs are down when you can’t even play the game unless you started at launch. Half the appeal of WoW before was you could come back for a raid tier at any time and jump back in, but you can’t now.

This game is on it’s last leg. I don’t even know why I sub’d for so long. I gotta admit it was fun at first, but the azerite grind is pretty boring. All my friend’s basically quit. My guild quit. It’s basically dying. It died way before any previous expansion. Kinda made me sad because it had a lot of potential. Who even wants to do expeditions? They are boring as hell. But you basically have to do them each week. Meh.

Yeah mines 30 after one week, but I can’t use my heroic chest piece until my neck is 44+.

Well, if it makes you feel any better, come 8.2, apparently the plan is to have that no longer be the case.

You can literally go from fresh 120 to viable in 3 days by first getting 320 ilvl from wqs and then grinding out some warfronts.

Unfortunately since I don’t have any access to i400 gear yet, I can’t confirm this, but with the neck capped at 50, I doubt you need 44+ to use the first 2 rings, where all the real power of the azerite armor is found. The way you put it would mean that in the 5-6 remaining neck levels, all the other rings would be unlocked – doesn’t make sense. So you could use your i400 chest piece now, at least with some of the rings unlocked.
