This game is so broke now

Most of this was stuff broken in the Beta as well, so it’s rather disappointing to see it transfer over to Live

The expansion is due to launch in a month, and there’s a LOT to fix

Activision is infamous for skipping QA and shipping broken products. And that’s exactly what they started doing with Blizzard. Kotick only cared for profits above everything else. Literally nothing else mattered to him. It’s telling that the day he was officially out some Blizzard devs had… unkind words about him. More recently he was responsible for the debacle that is Overwatch 2. And he’s the one who forced the Steam releases against the advice of team leads. He also denied those same teams any additional help and put the extra workload on them to handle Steam and the moderation duties there. He’s also the one who issued the RTO mandate that absolutely gutted Blizzard and had them bleeding talent so badly that the lead director on WoW complained on Twitter about how they had to draw up crisis maps of content and was literally scratching things off they no longer had enough people to do, as they were handing in their resignations. And he directly blamed Kotick for it, saying he wasn’t listening despite everything the leads were telling him which was backed up by hard data. DF had so much content cut it’s basically WoD 2.0 in that regard.

Point is, this isn’t some tinfoil hat theory or baseless supposition. Blizzard rushing development, barely QA’ing, and pushing things out long before they’re ready and letting the paying customers test for them is well established at this point. And it’s not going to change under Microsoft.

Works on my machine. Everything has been fine for me as of yesterday. Cleared 1.5 raids last night and running keys with no issues. It’s been a vibe for me and I am loving the new talent changes.

Soon was always a good answer.

we are basically playing an open beta , players report the bugs and blizz fixes what it thinks it can get away with and leaves the rest - this has been going on for many years now going on the amount of bugs going back multiple expansions that have never been fixed.

You think this is bad? You should have been around when vanilla first went live. So many things went wrong servers had to come down randomly. Blizzard actually felt bad and gave players a free month sub.

yeah…but you still gotta try…
they’re not trying.

Not an airport.

All the white knights excusing broken patches because its been like that in the past is pathetic. You would think blizzard has a testing server that is the exact copy of one or two servers where they could deposit the code to see if it breaks it, instead of breaking the liver servers. I just don’t get it.

Community: “C’mon Bliz, we need content. I pay good money and the millions you make each month, cant seem to keep up with content for your player base”

(Releases content)

This turd is unpolished. It needed more time.

(Rolls back content/changes)

How long does it take? Small Indie company cant keep up.

( Releases again with some polish)

This still sucks. Im unsubbing!

(20 years later)

This game is so broke now…

Welcome to WoW.

Based on the pre-order mounts and mogs I see everywhere, WoW itself ain’t broke.

Broken? Sure lol.

There is only so much you can test. In particular, many race conditions are almost impossible to uncover until there is a heavy load on the server.

Here’s one good example. Remember the day they first tried to launch the Space Shuttle? Remember how they got down near zero in the count and the computer shut it down? Turned out it was a race condition between two of the three computers controlling the space craft.

I remember when they announced they were scrubbing for the day because of a software problem veteran reporter Frank McGee said “Software, what is software?”.

I’ll be honest, other than using the warband bank, I’ve noticed no issues. I really don’t understand when people say there is “so many bugs”. Are you all trying to reach every corner and find the problems? Because just playing normally I’ve been doing perfectly fine.

Set up your bars, and then go into your talents. Save a new loadout (green +). Your bars should stay. Worked for me.

It’s only about as broken as your grammar.

Also, I have been playing just fine. My biggest issue has been having to turn off bagnon because it wasn’t letting me open my bags. Turning off an addon fixed my single complaint.

Everyone being skeptical of each other’s experiences gets us nowhere. I’ve experienced some bugs. Glad other people haven’t, though. Mine have been minor, whereas some are more severe for others. I don’t question their experience though. That’s pretty much on par with accusing them of lying about it, which is definitely a strange thing to do, if someone is doing that. (I’m doubtful that’s happening)

I’ve experienced some flight form issues, archaeological issues with quest turn ins in Boralus and some other minor things relating to talent switches. All bugs should be reported using the in game reporting system, so if you’re having problems, do that.

If you’re here to just say that you don’t have these problems, all I can say is good for you.

If you want to be more direct and say that people are lying about bugs, I’d say to go touch grass and not worry about it.

But that 6 month sub will still be in effect until Janurary.

There hasn’t been anyone playing the game in months. That’s hundreds of millions of dollars for them. Of course they rush the crap out.

This must be your first expansion pre patch. I’ll explain how this all works from an experienced veteran’s perspective.

Alpha is only for entitled streamers that know nothing about game testing. Then, we move to Beta where streamers test the raid and some dungeons. Meanwhile, us peasants, the normal guy, submit data about bugs that get fixed around the halfway point of the expansion. Finally, we have Gamma aka Pre Patch. This is the time Blizzard gives us to adapt to the bugs before the expansion release.
