This Game Is Deader Than Ever

Well why do they think players will come back?

WoW brings nothing new to the play ground other then it’s old bag of tricks.

Can’t believe they ruined pvp by adding the most univerally praised feature in solo queue with the gearing system that everyone wanted back.

WoW has been around for over 15years. There are 15 years of servers here. The Argument was that the game is dead. Its not.

Should Blizzard do some mergers and get rid of about 10 servers or so? Heck yes! Will they? Probably not. There is a list of about 8-10 servers that are poping regardless of the time of day. Most games have about 2-4 of those servers. Is it perfect? No. Nothing in life is. But wow is Still better than the competition imo. Which is why many of us are still here.

Its you , and pvp queue times are great so either your friends are talking about high rating arenas/rbg which is filled with players that don’t care of ruining pvp through boosting, tanking and mass premade farms or they are like you .

Simply should never be a problem. People queuing in groups should be put up against other people queuing in groups. If that means waiting 30 minutes bad luck. Join solo.

Actually, evidence to the contrary – WoW’s playerbase has actually gone UP – Since ‘Shadowlands’.

So your statement of “Deader Than Ever” appears to be wrong.
Although I see your thread detail is moreorless asking / confirming, than stating so that’s fair.

— And I mean, the story telling, content and over-all theme is way better in Dragonflight than Shadowlands; so it’s not all too surprising the playerbase slightly improved. Not to mention SL ruined a whole lot of lore and got many of the story-lovers & roleplayers to quit upon ruining their roleplay fantasies, tropes, hopes and beloved themes within the game’s universe.

However it hasn’t soared in numbers because the damage from Shadowlands was done. People are hesitant to trust Blizzard and WoW for that matter, and who can blame them? They outright lied to players faces in BFA, and gored a lot of beloved stories from the franchise to boost their $#!%%y expansion of Shadowlands & boost their villain’s influence ‘The Jailor’ who had the personality of a dry noodle.

:diamonds: And due to the distrust and scepticism, it’s as people have said:

“Dragonflight is a grower, not a shower.”

i unsubbed awhile ago but i still have a bit til the time runs out few days or so it isnt fun people are to easily upset nowadays online the story has been on decline since BFA(story is 70% the reason i play wow) and than the fact all my friends who played wow quit for the most part not to mention other things i wish i could explain but would trigger people but ya. i agree game is dead it will never recover the company burnt to many bridges for alot of people the lawsuit and the things happening was the final straw i stayed because i hoped things would get better it didnt more and more people i know quit.

It’s dead people are over it. The quality of the game is not what it used to be too many bugs, to many exploits early on.

Fail expac #3

Classic sucks too. Bot fest. Blizz doesn’t care at all anymore

I play on 3 different servers. Area 52 is pretty busy, always someone around.

Kil’jaeden Idk about because I haven’t played on it yet but it was dwindling down in SLs. Idk yet if it’s come back a bit or not.

Tichondrius is okay. All these servers I mentioned were fairly high pop for a long time.
Area 52 still is.

Games go through retention phases, a lot has happened over the years, seeming to begin with WoD (which I still believe is a good expac but too short) and going from there, taking an obvious nose dive in SLs due mostly to RL issues and problems but seeming to rebound in DF.

So no, the game isn’t dead and it may come back yet. Time will tell.

I’ve done that event a total of two times. I’m sure I’ll go back and do them a bunch.

I have noticed more and more people in older zones where I spend my time. No idea about flappy isles though.

Once they started sharding and cross-realm grouping it took a lot of the server community out of the game. You bring up some of the negatives effects associated with their decision that I dislike as well.

It’s odd to be in a major hub during prime US time and see hardly anyone, but there are actually a lot of folks online that are out of phase. I don’t like how they’ve done it, and I would like for them to revisit it so that the game feels more populated when it actually is.

I can log into Stormwind and see less people than on an EQ server in their main hub (PoK). EQ has around 50k players on 20ish server for comparison.

It’s you.

Problem solved.

Makes declarative statement.
Evidence to support said statement:

:upside_down_face:

Well, if another person’s “vibe” is that the game is the most popular mmo they’ve ever played, which one of you is right?

“deader”

WotlK Classic is a complete P2W, GDKP game now. Zero interest in that, especially since GDKP raids can be a disaster or they can be like a normal good raid, except at the end you can’t leave and everyone is being as toxic as they possibly can because there are no bidding rules.

Bots, GDKP, P2W, stalled content patches that take forever to come out. GGWP.

Cool. Now get off my lawn.
