Not sure if you guys have noticed but LFG for PVP, is dead.
Barely anyone looking for groups but it’s hard to ignore the fact upwards of 70% of them are advertisements for streams.
I finally got into a group with a MW for 2’s last night, 1st game win, all of a sudden “want to subscribe to my stream”… “I can’t”… leaves group.
Like I’m all for turning your hobby into a cashflow haven if you’re able but it’s getting to the point where peoples quest for $$$$ is ruining literally everything fun… This can be both said for the companies making the games and consumer.
The sad part is… very well be the truth… All these problems are KNOWN via the company /developers and even Streamers, I’d bank my money on the fact they’re aware of the solutions but bow to the overlord of the almighty dollar, and thus will never be fixed.

Subscription chapter of late stage capitalism is beyond gross at this point tbh.
Same w/the ads, at this point most places actively work to make the ads so unbearable that the user is near forced to subscribe at some level to get a working website instead of what looks like a spam site from the early 2ks.

The lfg stream advertisements that come up once a day are lame, though. I just report and move on.

I just counted LFG arenas posts and there were more than 34 in one quick count. This matches past times when I’ve counted.
Also, streams, yeah…wrinkles nose…if ya like 'em cool. But, yeah…shakes head…

People have noticed. It’s been a very steady decline over the last several expansions.
ROFL that is a new one for me. That situation sucks for sure. I can’t imagine any good streamer trying to get subs that way.
LFG for PvP is 100% dead. Not counting the 70% of advertisements and the 25% trying to grind conquest to gear their alts, 99% of the remaining 5% are toxic people with over-inflated egos that expect to win at least 15 games in a row without voice, otherwise, the group is deemed a failure after 1-2 losses and they leave.
This is why every bracket needs to have solo queue functionality in order to have a chance at thriving again.
LFG just isn’t worth it nowadays. If you feel compelled to grind out the gladiator mount, I would suggest trying to find partners using arena discord(s)/pvp discord(s).
Again, save yourself the pain. Don’t bother ever using lfg to do arena again, unless you’re just incredibly bored and trying to quickly grind out some conquest points for gear.

I opened twitch looked at what the streamers were playing to maintain subs laughed and closed it.
It’s hilarious that streamers are reverting to things like Roblox and Minecraft now.

Lol I do this too, unless it’s 30 seconds or less. The ones with the nerve to run 2-3 minute long ads are insta dip for me most of the time. Many continue to run super long ad blocks though so presumably they have done the math and have determined that they still make more money doing it that way where more people leave.
Even car companies gating features already installed in the car behind a subscription fee
Yea I don’t watch streamers, and I’ve never once sat in LFG with a stream tag or tried to advertise my stream. About all I did was name myself after my stream, so if I did beat a gladiator, I could make friends. Idgaf about streaming as a career lol.
