This game doesn't respect my time

1: I want to raid?

Enjoy endless hours of “recruitment simulator™” to get 20 people on board to do the raid. Also the endless drama if you bench someone and bitterness and resentment for it.

Cause nothing spells out fun like needing to do a full time HR recruitment role just to even step foot into raid.

2: I want to get legendaries?

Enjoy many hours (anyone saying they cleared torghast in under 2 hours this week is a freaking liar) of grinding overtuned HP sponges. They hit like wet noodles though until you grab a clump of 5+ then prepare to get absolutely wrecked.

And yes, that’s even as a tank. Guardian druid vs. HP sponges.

Nearly 1.5 hours for one floor 5 (FIVE) run and it wasn’t even a COMPLETE clear.

Literally last night one floor (me: guardian druid, my friend: balance druid as a duo) of torghast with hp buff was so filled with HP sponges that the stupid owls and mechanical birds would take like almost 2min per to kill. Absolutely ridiculous.

“BUT 1 TANK 1 DPS IS IDEAL COMP”

Ok and if you’re telling me someone that clears mythic can’t DPS you’re joking. And they were in raid gear from drops this week.

3: I want to enjoy my covenant choice?

Have fun needing to endlessly grind anima through world quests because even your rank 6 covenant backpack costs like 3.5k which is absolutely as vile and disgusting as it sounds! Having fun yet?!?!?!?!?

That’s not even getting into the fact that many covenant special features are 100% useless like the nightfae gardening.

So have fun sinking hours into grinding the anima for that “fun activity”.

4: Movement from location to location

Slow. Mindless. Agony.

No flight.

No flight whistles.

No teleportation like FFXIV.

Waiting. Long. Agonizing. Painful. Long. Mountrunning paths.

Or “flight masters” where you sit afk for 5 minutes waiting to FINALLY arrive where you want to go.

Guess what, in FFXIV you click a point on the map from ANYWHERE and bam you’re there.

“MUH WORLD”. Yeah no one cares anymore about WoW’s world.

5: Anthem levels of loot.

Don’t forget the abysmal drop rates and loss of bonus rolls. But hey now instead of targeting items with bonus rolls we have a pool of all the dungeons or raids loot table. So enjoy your 1/60 shot!

Loot is SO stingy in this game it reminds me of freaking ANTHEM.

ANTHEM.

Can you IMAGINE having such a bad loot system you remind me of

LITERALLY THAT GAME… ANTHEM? Your loot is THAT FREAKING BAD.

STOP. WASTING. MY. TIME.

I’m here for raid and m+. Stop wasting my freakign time.

put yourself in the shoes of some shareholder.

you probably want the game to hang on that fine line where you disrespect peoples time as much as possible without them quitting. less work for the company for the same sub money.

sucks but its logical  money runs this world, and also ruins it.

Am I wrong though?

  1. Unless you are talking about mythic raiding, it’s not that serious bro. Just apply to random groups in group finder and collect loot.

  2. Torghast is designed for everybody. Some people can only complete layer 3? That’s okay! Come back to the higher layers when you get more gear. It’s okay to build leggos a little slower.

  3. I sort of agree with you here, but not the way you worded it (you sound like a child). There is soooo much stuff to buy with Anima, and Anima is such a rare resource. It will take a loooong time to get everything without any kind of catchup mechanism in the future. But on the flip side, Anima only buys cosmetic stuff, so it’s okay to be a slow grind

Go back to your precious FFXIV then. Not dissing FF here, but clearly the OP has a preference. (I like both games for the record)

I don’t have issues, people see me sign up and auto invite me.

The better your resume is the better the game becomes for you.

1 and 2 can be solved by playing with a group of known/trusted players (sometimes called a guild, or community).
3 can be solved by prioritizing.

What’s your proposed fix? This is a community/personal problem, not the game.

Bad luck with powers then. Even solo, my Balance Druid only took about 45 minutes in Coldheart to finish. You don’t have to pull every mob, that definitely helps.

Buy the cosmetic stuff later? We’re into week three and anima is still a necessary resource for upgrading the Sanctum (which is mostly optional anyway). So choose your optional content.

Ahhhh, there’s the Final Fantasy name drop. I was waiting for that from you.

Hopefully flight is soon, otherwise the zones really aren’t that large.

Cool, so you should know what to focus on, and it’s not the Covenant Sanctum. Do your Renown, Torghast, and enjoy your raiding/dungeoning.

You’re not the YouTube bro who lead all the mage class astray with hyping frost?

Don’t subscribe to a game that you don’t have time to play?

If all you want is to raid and m+ why do you care about things like anima grinds?

Anyway, I thought you couldn’t raid or m+ because of your boyfriend dumping you alone on a completely uninhabited alliance server?

Also, go back to FFXIV etc. People who like that game not this game play that game not this game. Why is this confusing for you?

If the game doesn’t respect your time then I’m not sure why you don’t find a game that does, in my opinion the game is in the best state it’s ever been and Shadowlands is incredibly fun!

Yup. Its the business model for these types of games. Dangle the carrot just far enough that you cannot reach, but just close enough that you keep chasing.

Respect has nothing to do with it. Its how long can they keep you going on treadmills (cheaper than creating more new content) so that you keep paying them money.

Don’t forget the abysmal drop rates and loss of bonus rolls. But hey now instead of targeting items with bonus rolls we have a pool of all the dungeons or raids loot table. So enjoy your 1/60 shot!

This threads gonna go places.

I can feel it.

Now, now. Everyone calm down. It’s obvious that Blizzard needs to find out exactly what the OP wants and rearrange the game to his/her standards. We should all email the heads of Blizz/Activision now to make sure that this happens.

They want FFXIV. but… WoW… or something.

Ya’ll seem really fixated on that FFXIV point about teleportation.

I mean. It was mentioned in 1 point htat a competitor MMORPG doesn’t waste 20 minutes of our time to portal room to portal room to afk 5 minutes for a flight master in that competitor MMORPG.

I’ll be honest: I like the 'porting they use in Elder Scrolls Online: once you’ve unlocked a location you can go there any time - but, you have to pay money to do so…

That’s because you’ve made it known you like Final Fantasy 14 and want its systems in WoW. It’s a very common theme in your forum complaints.

But I addressed your points beyond that, too.
