This game actually sucks because of premades

Yep.
Granted, you will get PUGs that are simply made of people who should have never queued for a BG, and should probably never run instances either if they play the same way, but life aint perfect.

If that’s the case, then you were there to grind for gear and nothing else. You will eventually hate the game.

Personally, I don’t play the lottery because I think it’s silly. If I played it anyways so that I could win, it’s only going to make me more bitter.

Don’t play in battlegrounds if you hate them. Other people are enjoying the game just fine, but of course, they are invested enough in the outcome to put together premades.

No I’m there to have a fun game.
PLaying against a premade is not fun. The people premading are the ones who only care about honor, which is of course why they are so opposed to fighting other premades.

Blizzard will realize soon enough that there needs to be sweeping changes to how premades work in this game.

Or not, it IS blizzard after all. Not known for their wise decision making.

You would be surprised how many R12s in all BG gear
(because lets be real, there is not an R14 around every corner, it does not work that way)
technically suck and play terrible, they just have lots of time to keep queuing for rank.

I have to admit, i like the voice comms.
Even with the AB macros all set up for quick use, some stuff i can just relay faster by voice, and not die while typing it, or spew a line of text that reads Guy i got incomwwwwwassssssssssss1221225cccvvv
BS is under attack

Except premades are also likely actually stacked with appropriate class comp and people who are all on the same page about what they want to do.

So you’re saying that it’s Blizzard’s responsibility to ruin the enjoyment of players who play competitively (i.e. care about it enough to adjust how they play) so that people who hate the game anyways can hate it a little less?

You realize that if every match is against a premade, then that means you’re way in the minority, right?

Ask yourself, why are most of these critical premade posts made by horde? Cause horde believe they should win 99% of the time. Make your own premade. You should never be able to pug your way to rank 14

Yeah but is that really most premades? Because most premades I see are LFG premades (I see the groups forming all the time in /4 and /2).

You aren’t wrong otherwise though. A well geared premade that was built with a specific comp in mind full of players on voice who know what they’re doing isn’t gonna be beat by a group of rando’s who don’t talk. But tbh, that’s how it should be.

MMO’s of this era were about time invested. This idea of providing a level playing field for everyone came well after WoW was first released. Someone who’s dumped hundreds of hours into gearing, running wsg/ab matches to learn maps and strats, etc… those people should have an advantage over those who don’t, because the advantage is generated from effort put into the game, not some arbitrary system design option.

WoW BG’s weren’t designed to be an eSport with a sterile playing field. That wasn’t really an MMO thing at that time.

Can you not see that we are not against premades? Answer me. Can you say that “I realize you are not against premades”. Then we can move on to why we want separate ques for solo and premades. You just said you want to play competitively. When you go against a pug is that competitive? Would not going against another premade be more competitive? Answer these questions.

You ever heard of ranked vs casual?

Pretty easy way to separate competitive and casual players, no?

lmao

When you go against a pug is that competitive?

It can be. It’s the players in the PUG that make that decision. I’ve been in plenty of PUG’s where someone has stepped up and played the role of leader with a team that wanted to win - They aren’t always wins but those pugs are definitely more competitive. This is an old school MMO. Power levels were about time and effort invested. If a group of players choose not to invest that time and effort, they should get beat by those who do.

It’s the onus on the pug to make the match competitive.

Would not going against another premade be more competitive?

Often but not always. Believe it or not there are a significant number of terrible premades that get stomped by PUG’s frequently enough.

Premade <> Good.

There is a version of the game that has exactly what you want, right?

Yes that is most premades. Premades that form in chat still look for specific classes to fill in what they need. They also do get to be selective and replace people.

Which is fine, premades fighting premades and pugs fighting pugs has nothing to do with esports. It has to do with BG’s actually being fun.

Well, ya, there is that 1% area. 99% though is more accurate for loss if you are a pug.
“Often but not always. Believe it or not there are a significant number of terrible premades that get stomped by PUG’s frequently enough”
It happens, but not a lot. Like I said maybe 1% of the time. You are really reaching here.

If you mean retail, no. I don’t enjoy pvp in that game.

The ranking system in retail however, i think is great. The two should combine.

Yeah? And is that because the premade is just so OP or because the Pugs themselves are full of crap players that don’t wanna play as a team and are really there to farm HK’s?

Well then they should have to play with other friends.

whats your point?

Yea you are. “This game actually sucks because of premades” is different from “This game sucks because you’re not separating tryhards from casuals.” You have to learn how to communicate and if that’s not what the OP meant, then it was actually you who failed to read.

If you want Classic WoW, then you are against premades.

Move on from the main point? If you don’t want to pay attention, then don’t play the game. If you don’t want to design parts, then don’t be an engineer. Not rocket science.

I didn’t, actually.

Yes. A battleground is a competition between two teams. If one sucks and one is good, it doesn’t mean it’s not a competition.

“Compete” is a root word for both “competition” and “competitive.” If you engage in a competition, you are competing, and therefore, you are playing competitively.

Defined as such, maybe, but they found you. That’s not their fault you suck.

You’re welcome.
