This firelands tw raid has taught me one thing

the larger general playerbase is absolutely incapable of doing any mechanic whatsoever.

which to be fair the love day event boss also taught me, but this really cements it.

It was the phoenix wasnt it?

You don’t even need Firelands. Just get stuck in Blackrock Caverns on a TW run and watch the entire party die to the first boss because they just mash their faces into him and ignore the chains.

Every. Single. Time.

It’s almost as though following a level 11 twink through TW dungeons for 80 levels doesn’t prepare players for Heroic raiding.

No, it was Ragnaros. Too many didn’t drop the bomb and run to the other side.

As if TW dungeon runners can handle a single mechanic when there’s a lv50 in heirlooms carrying them either. The failure factor is always there, the point is to cover it up with one competent player.

but its fun to stand in the pretty colors on the ground, you wont take that away from me!

people failing on a lot of different things. but the main thing is molten seed.

it’s funny too because i ask if anyone doesn’t know the fight and needs an explanation, no one responds, but then like 75% of the group runs around with no clue what to do during the fight :joy:

Remember the wonderful words of Bob Ross, “Anybody can paint. All you need is a dream in your heart and a little practice. “ ~ Bob Ross

In this case, just paint a better picture of the player base and good things may happen.

Arcatraz (bless their soul for removing this from TW) and the trash before 2nd to the last boss in Magisters taught us who were the newbies and the oldies but goodies who knew how to LOS and YOLO the dungeons.

It is like reverse psychology, if you talk about how wonderful and adapt the player base is, then good things will happen.

For the larger player base you can get buy just learning not to stand in the fire.
The more complicated stuff is just for the 10% to 15% that does high level Mythic.

so you think telling the community they are good will magically make them understand mechanics somehow? huh. that’s certainly a take.

Nah, more so like when you encourage someone to keep trying in the hopes that after a few failures they learn, kind of approach.

Now granted, I will give ya the fact that even when people do type stuff to help educate players on certain mechanics they have better luck and response from a wall, but it’s the try part that counts.

usually helps if you have someone making calls with rw or something but i agree, the 1 firelands run i did today (and rag skip) felt pretty tedious

This might work for new players. But lets be real most wow players are 20 year addicts and still havent learned lol

No amount of positivity can make someone read. The only tactic that does work is first telling everyone to hit not ready on the next rc, then explaining the actual mechanic, and then do a check and kick anyone who hits ready.

Risky for timewalking because you’d better have enough bodies left who are paying attention after kicking half the group.

Doesn’t help when group leader invites 4 tanks and all taunting when they shouldn’t be but agreed

Rag didn’t do seeds today. I think we killed him too fast.

I’m pretty sure that’s the only reason we beat him on the first attempt. The seeds get most groups at least once.
