My sub runs out in a few days, and I don’t even have KSM yet. I’ve been KSM / KSH every single season since Legion when keys came out; this is the first time I have had almost negative desire to do the content.

Don’t get me wrong, the affixes and seasonals :ok_hand:. Class balance :pinching_hand: eh, could be better.

The community though…

I don’t think I’ve seen a single group that is capable of doing the content they are attempting to do.

DPS that do sub-500k overall, healers that don’t have dispel bound at all, and tanks that can’t fathom how mob positioning and movement works let alone how to mitigate damage.

These are my keys.

These are the people I brought.

620-630 ilvl, 2200+ score, queueing into my 8-10 range keys, and they are acting like it’s their first time seeing the dungeon.

I try to pug into keys (as a tank) and the highest I can go is a +4 before I hit a straight-up decline wall. I have 6-8’s on my record for these dungeons, but if I go any higher than a 4 I’m immediately declined.

I really don’t see a point in playing anymore. This has to be the single worst season I’ve seen since at least BFA.

Unsquish the keys, give us back 2-10 range casual keys and 11-16 farm, 17+ for push.

That’s how it used to be, and it was fine. Now it’s just… 2-4 are undergeared alts, 5-9 is a cesspool, and 10+ is reserved for “I play semi-hardcore in a dead video game”.

I guess all good things must come to an end eventually.

It’s hard. Personally it hasn’t been that bad for me in that range but one thing that has helped tremendously is communicating your intentions before the key starts.

Especially for 10’s I go for try to time it but finish if not possible.

The frustrations are there though. I have had key ranges from 8 to 10 where tank would do great and suddenly pull a very hard boss where I’m at 20 percent or less mana without hesitation. Or charge in as I’m drinking and break the cardinal rule between tank and healers.

“If you’re not going to wait you better survive until I get there” and they don’t…

I’m not really bothering with portals yet but going to wait until im 625 or higher before getting groups for it.

Oh absolutely, I always vocalize that I’d like to complete the key before we start the run.

I also point out mechanics if someone fails them. Example, I was doing an 8 Dawnbreaker and one of my DPS messed up the ball on the second boss (sent it directly into the wall).

After putting down a marker, I explained that he should stand near the marker (ranged) and the mechanic wouldn’t wipe the group, as we had more than enough room on either side of the boss to send the orb out.

That DPS was targeted by the mechanic 4 pulls in a row, and wiped us on all 4 pulls of the boss with the orb.

At that point, there’s just nothing I can do. I have to eat the L of a key loss, and they go on to queue up again without learning a single thing.

Yeah it sucks and more often than not you find out that people are not as good as they think they are and get testy when pointed out.

Without also knowing the difference between making a mistake(I tanked my own GB 9 this way) versus screwing up multiple times without learning a single thing.

I judge ppl based on their M+ score and their best for dungeon and it usually works out fine. Raider.io shows you all their keys that awarded score.

I’ll get KSM by the end when I severely outgear the content. Think my IO now is 1200 or something and aside from siege of boralus it hasn’t been too bad on my rsham

Instead of blaming others, you should take a look at where your mistakes were and think about how to improve yourself.
I find it’s amusing that players always blame on others for their failures when they are no better than the ones they are playing with.

No you don’t. You don’t have a single timed key above a 6. You’ve timed DB, NW, Mists and Ara Kara at the 6 level. You have never timed a 7 nor an 8. Why flat out lie to us?

If you’re the tank, you’re bringing 620-630 people into your +7 keys (why lie about the 8 to 10? i guess you’ve gotten an 8 twice because you’ve 2 chested a mists and AK once each but given you’ve never timed a 7 and never 3 chested a 6 how would you ever have gotten a 9 or 10 key. Why lie?) then my guess is that you are at fault. How do you, as a tank, still have a 593 weapon this late into the expansion? You have 4 available crafted pieces at this time and you could easily get a 619 MH wep, which is the 2nd most important gear slot for a tank. I’m shocked you’re even getting 620 2200 people applying to your 7 keys, given that 7s don’t drop gilded and your ilvl and m+ score are very low (i’m guessing this was another lie).

yeah agreed, the last thing this game needs is more whiny entitled liars who are too egomaniacal to consider that maybe their skill level (and inability to tell the truth) is a little too low for this content. I will agree with you, m+ has never been this difficult for bad players in WoW’s history (maybe legion or DF season 1 with release versions of AV, RLP and NO).

M+ participation in TWW is about average compared to other xpacs, and last week there was actually an uptick in participation across the board. So calling it dead is as much of a lie as the rest of your post.

I think i speak for most other good players when I say don’t let the door hit you on your way out. Also examine your character. Why lie because you’re anonymous? That’s a character/ethical issue. Fix yourself then worry about the game

FYI his tank’s name is Fwompy - Mal’ganis so you all can fact check me. He also has an evoker called Owwies (love the baby talk names, I would definitely invite you to my groups) that also hasn’t timed anything above a 6.

No shot you have 620-630 (especially 630 you’ve likely never seen one of these) doing sub 500k dps overall.

A few comments:

  1. I bring this up every season; failing a key should not reward IO period, at ANY key level. IO and M+ rating mean absolutely nothing when trying to create a group until you’re approaching key levels done by the 1-0.1% of players. Players are getting free passes to higher keys they may not be prepared for, and this is to everyone’s detriment.

  2. I don’t know how, or if it’s even feasible, but there needs to be better teaching tools in regards to interrupts, cc, and their influence on reducing group damage intake and failure points. The dungeon journal and certain addons like bigwigs/dbm/m+ WA packs provide certain solutions, but as most of these options are third party, a large majority of players may not use them and knowledge of mechanics is left up to a person desire to actually learn to play the game (lacking in most cases).

  3. I’m on the fence about the key squish, but largely enjoy the increased difficulty. With largely non-targetable gear upgrades at the top end of rewards accompanying the exponential increase in difficulty, the general result of pugging keys is more often than not a terrible experience for a multitude of reasons.

They’ve some how managed to make M+ less fun and or a less desirable end game pillar for me while also offering decent dungeons and better affixes than previous seasons. Unless you’re after IO and or have a dedicated group, this is the least fun M+ has been despite a majority of good changes overall.

I agree this year is kinda bad. Now im just above 2k io as a holy priest, the upside to being a healer w9th fast queues is i can just leave bad groups and try again and it feels like this is the way to play this season since every group is a coin toss if they will stand in bad or even do the damage they should be doing for their ilvl.

That being said, i only leave keya where i dont think the group has any shot at completing it, timed or not. Loot and emblems are jiat as good timed as not timed.

I really feel bad for the dps that have to wait in half hour queues just to get in a group of people with no hands amd be held hostage as they have to wait another long while to try their coinflip again.

Ye lol, 630 are so rare. It is not the item level you can get without FARMING 10+ key for couple of weeks by that time. Even if people got lucky to have some 623 pieces from their vault, it takes around 6 runs of 8+ key to upgrade any of this gear, and 8 runs to craft any 636 gear piece. By that time, anything less than 10 feels like a fresh breeze of wind.

Cry, shout, this is exactly what Blizzard wants to see.
They want to break players, make them fight and wear each other down.
There will still be people on this forum giving you tons of criticism,

Have you ever experienced both a wipe and a group disband in a normal dungeon?
I ran into one yesterday while leveling my alt in Darkflame Cleft.
Really looking forward to next season’s M+!

If you don’t have enough time to process these emotions and hone your skills, then you should seriously consider leaving this environment.

You straight up lied to this entire forum then you’re telling me nothing I say has worth. Log off and delete this liar, you have no character. Another bad player with no skill who has to lie about their experiences to make them sound legit.

I can’t believe you said you invited ilvl 630 people to your keys. You’re so bad you can’t even lie convincingly, I can’t imagine watching you tank. Do you sit down with your back to the mobs?

Yeah I have great sympathy for people like Lokomachina who actually hit a wall bc he/she played an offmeta spec and timed everything they could up to +8.

This Serrow rat who straight up lied in their entire post then told me I have no character? Easy callout. Hopefully they unsub, the game would be better for it.

It just kinda seems like you are bad. If about a quarter of players have KSM already, seems like its fairly achievable if you care enough to complain about it. This season has been pretty rough for pugging, but it has not been impossible with pugging. Running in your own groups is probably for the best no matter what level key you are doing.
