This entire expansion has been anti-pug

Seriously though the same audience rated past expansions more highly. What does that tell you? There are also other metrics, such as sub count.

WoW players not happy till all 10 of their alts are 10/10 Mythic instantly upon logging in :stuck_out_tongue:

I think the problem is that you’re saying “only” with 7/10 H and most of us would think you’re having a better time finding things to get done than 90% of people out there.

You’re like Bill Gates complaining about being poor. Your perspective is off…

I’m finding this expansion extremely FRIENDLY for PUGing, and for alts.

I’ve got 4 60s, and that puts me BEHIND about a third of the people in my raid group.

I can get any new 60 to have a stack of 8 iLevel 197 items withing days of hitting 60 - and that puts them to raid ready. One of our raiders can’t make up his mind so he’s leveled and brought 4 or 5 different toons to the raid thanks to this… switching every week and once in mid raid.

I’ve PUGed my way through Torghast with ease, even with my DPS toons.

I can PUG into an M+ with ease, and my ‘raider io’ is probably a LOT lower than yours. I can get in on any role with ease.

I can even PUG world quests with ease rather than solo them.

I am just NOT seeing the problem, at all.

That’s just sad and says a lot about the state of the game.

I think most MMO players aren’t happy with the genre right now. Just too archaic. Outside of perspective I really can’t seem to find a hard difference in gameplay between MMOs and games like PoE and Diablo 3. The only differences are view perspective and there’s more buttons to push in MMOs.

Are you sure? How many people are even still playing that rated TBC and Wrath when they were new? You’ve already pointed out numerous times that a lot of people have quit, so it seems unlikely that only the ones who haven’t have rated all the previous ones.

And the combat is way slower than arpg. And fewer skill combos…and less loot…

I don’t actually agree with that. ARPGs combat is faster on certain mobs, sure, but reaction time and ability spam is significantly higher in a MMO. You’re having to do more actions per second in WoW than Diablo 3.

i wouldn’t describe SL as anti PUG as much as anti-fun

I mean, I’m basing it off of scores from an actual website. It’s third, with MoP and BfA below it.

If it’s the second worst for YOU, that’s fair. But it’s not collectively.

If you check wow achievements, a huge portion of the player base has played wrath. People basically rotate in and out, resubbing to play the new expansion and then quitting. Anyway. Same site. Same kinds of people. Horrible reviews. Sorry WoW, your io score is too low. Not invited to the good game group. Better luck next time!

It’s not meant to be. This isn’t BFA, you actually have to be exceptional to get KSM this early.
The top players from my realm (Proudmoore) are barely pushing 18s and some of them still have 15 as their highest timed key in certain dungeons (looking at you SD).
Improve your game or just wait and get it down the line, it’s getting easier every week as players gain ilvl from the vault.

I have to agree. If I didn’t join the community I am apart of now I would have quit a few resets back. Now, the only reason why I continue to play is because I have integrated myself into a community. I have yet to see a weapon in my vault, which is really making it hard for me to compete with others. I got my heroic weapon this week because literally everyone in my guild has a weapon, someone dropped a token and passed it to me.

What I love the most about WoW in the past few expansions is running Mythic+. As I get get more responsibilities in life M+ has aligned more with my playstyle, availability and time constraints. However, unless I’m having fun just playing with friends I don’t touch M+. The ilvl cap and lack of rewards that come from M+ consistently pushes me to stay away. I spent a good portion of my day yesterday in M+ completing, I think, 8 or 9 keys in time between +12 and +15. I have nothing to show for it besides a little bit of Anima. I hate the weekly vault. It has made me hover over the unsubscribe link multiple weeks in a row.

Oh yea 3rd. I forgot how much MoP sucked on release. My bad dude.

Still trash.

On this we agree.

Though I would say partly agree.

A good action-RPG has very few skills, but uses action combat instead.

From an FPS like Overwatch, to an MMO like ESO or Guild Wars 2 - they all use tight skill bars and often tightly defined abilities, but expect players to instead master mobility, awareness, and hitscan.

I find these action games to be a LOT more engaging.

And some like GW2 have even pulled it off in trinity-based raiding (yes, GW2, the game that launched with a slam attack against the MMO trinity, after changing out most of its design team, put the trinity in, albeit only in their raids).

(I only don’t say that for ESO because I don’t like ESO tanking, but all other aspects of ESO show that action-combat is better than tab-target.)

That said… this seems like a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT TOPIC than your original post.

But ps: I can find groups and PUG content in GW2 and ESO even easier than here. But here is also super easy this expansion.

Eh, opinions. Shadowlands is more fun than most of the past expansion launches to me.

lol only to pug it

it is not exceptional at all for a mythic guild group to clear 15s. It’s not even hard for them.

It has been a great experience for me. The experience started to degrade quickly as I continue to run my raids and mythic+ runs with only abysmal amounts of anima to show for it. Then I take a look at my buddy who just PvPs and he is pushing ilvl 220+. He is having a great time playing the content he desires while I’m here questioning my decision to keep playing.

Yep. The gear rewards are completely broken.

If the armory tracked when gear was acquired it would make it much easier to argue how terrible the loot for PvE players is right now. When I got my 184 trinket from Bastion from a world quest I was more excited for that then when I drop something from heroic raiding or high level M+ keys. I think I’ve just had a series of bad luck. Most of my heroic raid drops have been items I already selected in my vault weeks back. I’m just a loot stick for my guild. I pass my loot around for everyone lol.
