the character I was playing has 438 ilvl. I was flying really high in the air on my mount when a DH did that ability where they launch up in the air. It shot me with the projectiles each doing tremendous damage. after they had hit me me health was at like 8%. wtf?

The DH’s “Rain from Above” talent does seem to do a hefty chunk of damage. The pay-off for this being that they’re “immobile” while this is active, making them a bit of a pinata for anyone below them.
Buuuut against targets that can’t easily hit them or aren’t attempting to, it can be a bit hard to manage.

I’d say that’s “a hefty chunk of damage”, yes.
The ability does chaos damage, which bypasses things like armor and damage reductions iirc.
It is a broken pvp talent.
ok so thats fine with people I guess. Hit one button, go afk for like 10 seconds. come back and boom your target is almost dead.
Nobody said it was ‘fine’. It’s just a thing that is.
I prefer melee classes so when that’s used I cant attack them. This really is a broken talent.
