Seriously getting sick of instantly dying with no warning while trying to quest. Shouldn’t you at least see or hear Deathwing coming before just falling over dead. Prepatch is over, dump this mechanic.

Those npcs were spawning for my horde in orgrimar this weekend. A lot.
Annoying as I like to use one inn keeper for sales on clean out bag/vault sprees.
Interesting to watch though. Has me hope we get classic legion. That could see rogue rush.
One quest for rogue hall is to kill an enemy auctioneer in org or sw. It gets the carebears really ranting as auctioneers drop like flies.

It seems like he is bugged in Twilight Highlands. There is no red sky, no sound effects. Just random fire spawns and kills you. If they can’t fix the bug then remove it. There is nothing entertaining or engaging about fire just instantly spawning in quest areas.

Yeah he’s shown up in a few zones now and I’ve yet to hear the audio clips or get the change of the sky. So far that’s been in Twilight Highlands, Stone Talon Mountains, and Southern Barrens.

Or the legion pre-patch in which you could turn into a dreadlord and slaughter your own faction. There was endless tears and crying on the forums when the event was active lol

I personally dont mind it but I can understand your feelings on the matter. It could reset a bit faster, but I do like seeing big dragon from time to time.

I’m all for things that create a unique experience over a routine one. The WOTLK pre-patch was great fun and a lot of people complained about it because they couldn’t go about their routine. It was also removed earlier than anticipated.
There’s nothing that you need to do while levelling that will be as memorable as getting burnt by Deathwing and it’s hardly a inconvenience, it’s not like he’s corpse camping you.
This is one of those “don’t forget to stop to smell the roses” kind of situations.

Are you kidding me? The best thing I have seen so far is because of Deathwing fire. Watched not one, but two idiots die to fire trying to mine the same elementium node. It was hilarious.

I’ve seen the sky go red like, one or two times, vs the other 10 times he just shows up with no warning.
It does warn you, if you play with sound on, you will hear Deathwing make a scream/noise. It always scares the hell outta me when it happens and I scramble to get the heck out of the way

I actually flew right over him and he shot a fireball at me that instantly killed me then I fell into a pile of flames… It’s what the Norse people call a worthy death…
