not going to mention what game it was, but in the heat of it all there were fan-fiction stories/quests/quest lines written and submitted by any player who wanted to and the team running the server would make that into a quest in-game. I think it was every 2 weeks a new one was chosen and put in-game. OH SNAP. thats actually a server I worked on when i was 14 hahahhha. yeah I used to love writing new stories and placing new npcs in cool places with cool stuff to say and do and trying new animation packages and things. new quests and npcs updated whenever I got the time. very nice way of expressing my creativity at 14 if i do say so.
anyways. here i am 20 years later with an active sub to WoW dreaming the dream.
thats all for now.
Wait, you just completely forgot that you had any association to the server you were talking about until you were in the middle of typing this out?
yeah*, thats exactly what happened.
I have a girlfriend. You haven’t met them, they go to another school.
theres this dark part of my life that exists for absolutly no reason at all. installed Ultima IX: Ascension and played the ever living guts out of it with all of its ups and downs and saw a wickedly open universe but it was so. so. empty. it was the most empty feeling game i have ever played in my life. a sense of “eerie” ness, little bit of darkness, bit of this and that, not gonna lie, I got this unsettling feeling every time I played it. anyway, at the age of 14 or 15 went through this entire game seen touched and interacted with everything in sight and looked at the game from the perspecitve of “how would I change things if I could” while also enjoying all the little treats and tresures the creators left in this empty desolate world. some of the interaction mechanics in that game I havent seen since. a lot of very unique items that had their own little thing going on. very interesting stuff indeede.
This feels like Scott Pilgrim fan fiction if Scott was cosplaying as Wallace while pretending to be Neil who was writing a Scott Pilgrim fanfic.
well, thats a very obscure reference and I dont understand what you mean to say using the words in order they were provided. please try again?
Here, I’ve used chatGPT to provide them in a shuffled order - maybe that will help?
“Scott Pilgrim if writing while like feels as be cosplaying was a was who This Scott fan fiction to Neil fanfic. Scott Pilgrim pretending Wallace.”
not sure if im a little bit offended or a little bit concerned for you if you think that what chatGPT produced offers a more clear message of what message YOU are trying to convey to myself an other readers of this post.
I appreciate the concern, sometimes I have a hard time keeping realities straight. ph’nglui mglw’nafh Cthulhu R’lyeh wgah’nagl fhtagn
some people say touching grass helps even that out.
M.I.B suggest a healthy serving of chocolate milk
Does grass have transcendental properties to aid in clarifying realities? I already have choc milk equipped ty.
not sure man, i just work here, ask dave
wearing a nametag that says dave
As a writer, that sounds amazing. However… have you met this community? There are so many trolls, idiots and non-writers that they would be flooded with trash, realize it’s not worth the effort and cancel it after one attempt.
