This Companies Gaming Motto is what Every MMO Should Live By

"Our attitude is launch is just the starting line, these games need to be co-created with the players and studio."

Such a beautiful statement and philosophy in developing and iterating on a game. Since you know, the players are everything. We want to waste our time in an MMO not have our time wasted.

Imagine if Blizz during Alpha when they were told that Covenants were bad and these systems didn’t work they just got rid of them. Instead they said the players are wrong and don’t know what is good for them.

When we say there is problem with class balance, gearing and power gap Ion says- “Frankly that is a skill issue”

I mean not only does Blizz shut down our concerns but tell us they don’t exist. Anyways I’m really looking forward to New World because of things like this that matter. Other large companies are also using the same philosophy and it’s why the MMO industry is growing now. They singled out what Blizz is doing wrong and realized what the customers pain point is.

We want to be heard and our ideas implemented. The Devs aren’t always right, look at SL as a lesson in what not to do when making an MMO. Blizz I hope you change your ways and become a leader again instead of teaching other gaming companies what NOT to do.

That’s all everyone enjoy your day.

It doesn’t get much better than this ideology. If any other company had a #Pulltheripcord movement they would of done it. Since that is what the players want. The fact that they have ignored such a huge #Pulltheripcord movement just accentuates their detachment with players. The changes SL needs isn’t a secret, there is literally a list. Just do it.

They already delayed New World several times to address players concerns. Then they actually changed the game. This is how you build trust and engagement with your players. You lead by action. You listen and then do it.

This is why there was a mass exodus in WoW because other gaming companies are not just listening but engaging with their players to make a better game. This is why FFXIV exploded in popularity. This is why people are looking forward to games like Ashes of Creation and New World.

Sorry but Blizz is really behind on the curve on this one and wrong in their thinking. That is why SL has the largest player drop in history and no player retention. It’s time for Blizz to go back to school again and learn from what other companies are doing right and then being the best at it.
