can’t even try to learn a new class without getting insulted, no wonder people are leaving in droves for FFXIV, much nicer community who offer advice rather than just hurl insults.

It’s only a nicer community because FF14 has super strict rules against any kind of trash talk.
So yeah technically still nicer but only because they have to be lol. Also I agree the WoW community and the gaming community in general is pretty toxic.

Not necessarily. Because toxicity kept in check, the rest of the player base aren’t mutes like happens in WoW. Players can be nice without the risk of being mocked for it and many players there are nice and helpful.
i haven’t found that. i started a new dh tank the other day and people have been nothing but nice and complimentary

And online is a good reflection of how it is in real life …
But there’s also a good side to everything , i’ve found a lot of non toxic people on wow easy …
I think it’s ironic that the FFXIV community is pissed off because all the Toxic WoW players are flooding in.
Show me proofs of this. i havent met a single toxic person yet. People usually dont talk in dungeons and if they do i usually ignore them and move on. SHOCKING right?
Yeah Blizzard fired 800 employees 2 years ago, many of them were customer support. You wonder why tickets in FF get answered in hours and it takes 4-5 days now for a WoW ticket? I dont.
For now. It’ll get toxic soon enough.

Yes, the wow community is toxic.
They probably aren’t any nicer, they just have no choice but to remain quite about how bad you might be.
The internet in general can be pretty toxic unless you make a concerted effort to avoid it. These forums are much worse than the game itself, but I play on an RP realm. To be honest though every time they’ve merged and added players it has gotten 1 or 2 degrees worse.
It’s an appearance of FF having a better community.
In reality they are censored extremely hard, that basically anybody who does anything against the norm over there gets hammered into the ground.
It’s basically Twitter, the game, when it comes to rules.

I played both, FFXIV is alot nicer, they need to be or else you get nothing done.
The culture is just radically different. There is no esports focus in FFXIV. Min-maxing is barely a thing. Yeah there are logs at the raid level but its pretty much marginalized.
So yeah WoW is way more toxic, because the systems enable that toxicity.
But we know why right? Blizzard themselves are toxic.
That is because ff14 doesnt have a timer, the rewards aren’t tied to that timer, theres no leaderboards or anything competitive whatsoever, and its easy as $hit.
