All I wanted was a bard support spec that’s learned as a profession so any class can have it.

If not that, then just a profession that has no gameplay impact but allows us to play instruments, with easy MIDI integration. Let players purchase a vendor item that gives them a buff to hear within range, and can be clicked off when desired.

Sef shredding classic WoW tavern tunes would be so fun.

I’d be happy with a lute that has been lovingly modified with a double locking floating tremolo system. As long as it was bought from a pawnshop in the shady part of Stormwind. That would be an awesome shredders axe.
