This change seems a bit puzzling for prot in 10.2

NOTE: Datamined, so keep that in mind, but it looks like for Protection, WoG mana cost is being increased from 10% to 15%.

See the general section under Paladins. The tooltip for the change shows the 15% for prot. https://www.wowhead.com/news/patch-11-1-ptr-datamined-class-changes-major-class-changes-for-everyone-355146

I feel like that is the wrong direction to go. It’s fairly easy to misplay and burn your mana before this change (especially as lightsmith). I’m not very good, so I’m definitely not looking forward to this (at least in a vacuum…still going through the changes).

I think the 15% is for ret. Not Prot.

That would definitely be nice. The tooltip they had for prot showed the 15%, but datamining is always a risky set of info, so maybe the tooltip is bugged. I hope so!

If its Wowhead datamining, it tends to show datamined tooltips for Ret over the other specs. So if something looks a little crazy, and it could apply to any spec, assume its for Ret.

As a Ret pally main who offheals with pride, this change has once again blindside me.

As if the previous mana changes was not enough a haymaker punch to my playstyle.

Things like seal of the crusaders and the healing hands nerfs was like a piece of bad news for me WoW-wise this morning.

I understand why they are doing it, it just dun feel good for someone who catches ppl and save them via WoGs and LoHs to feel ‘‘punished’’ ( for the lack of a better word ).
