With different races and classes. Some can be the same.
How would you want that third faction to interact with the other two?
What types of restrictions would that entail if any?
Seems to me that WoW is veering away from factions as its player base declines and erodes. Why make a third neutral faction when the two that are already here are already moving in that direction?
Or a Fourth Faction that hates us all, even the Neutral one.
3 faction MMO’s always suck from a pvp standpoint, there’s always one super faction, a second less super faction, and a third faction that just gets the crap kicked out of it day in and day out
What do we get out of having 3 factions though? To me it just seems like we lose things.
And a 5th faction that spends all of its time eating corn chips!
I’d be this faction. Can we toss in a little troll plants too?
You know the ones I’m talking about
The game is hardcoded to have two factions. No more, no less. There’s no point in adding a third faction when they’ve already closed the gap between the two we have now.
They haven’t had faction-locked classes since vanilla because they realized it was a bad idea, so I doubt they’ll ever go back on that philosophy.
Remove all factions.
Third Faction Name: Reclaimers
Focus: Restoring and protecting Azeroth from the constant turmoil of the Horde and the Alliance. Strives for a new fusion of nature, science and magic.
Faction Hub and Fashion Aesthetic: Solarpunk
(I own NONE of the following artwork; all credit goes to the creators, my use here is not for monetary purposes whatsoever.)
Relations with the Alliance
Pro: Reclaimers openly share scientific advances, and establish many economic and peacekeeping agreements with the Alliance. Reclaimers help coordinate safe roads in both Alliance and Reclaimer lands.
Con: Alliance citizens REALLY love the Reclaimers, as they stick to their oaths and care for the livelihood of the people, BEFORE they deal with threats. They always repair battle damage and tend to the wounded after battles. Many people are leaving the Alliance for the Reclaimers, and the entirety of Alliance Pandarens is considering joining the Reclaimers.
Relations with the Horde
Pro: Reclaimers actively restore many natural resources to their original health. Reclaimers also assist in peace talks with the Quilboar and elementals, which helps the Horde reclaim many lost territories and resources.
Con: Just as the Alliance, Horde citizens are in love with the promises and actions of the Reclaimers. Horde Pandaren are considering rejoining their kin within the lands of the Reclaimers. Also, the Horde are on hand to witness cooperative talks between the Reclaimers and Therazane, which would cause a fundamental shift of power in Azeroth.
Races - Thirteen total, possibly fourteen if the Pandaren defect
Initially formed by: High Elf, Wildhammer Dwarf, Telogrus Ethereal, Furbolg, Sethrak, The Broken, Tol’vir (humanoid illusion form for mounts)
Immediate additions: Arakkoa, Wolvar, Yaungol, Vrykul, Dracthyr
