Hello everybody. Ive never played on a RP server before. How is the server for Horde and Alliance? Good community on both sides? Does it favor the Horde more than Alliance or vice versa? Wanting to start over as a Alliance Paladin (Im a Paladin junkie. Im a Paladin main in FFXIV too haha).

There’s a faction imbalance, but it isn’t too noticeable. If I had to guess, I’d say the ratio is probably 70% Horde / 30% Alliance. You’ll still find plenty of guilds, communities, and people to group with if you play Alliance. Both sides have a great community and helpful player base. If you’re looking to start RPing, you can always find a lot of players in Orgrimmar (Valley of Honor), Silvermoon City, and Stormwind.
Peak times are in the evening for both factions. Since this is late in the last patch cycle of the expansion (and not a well-liked one), there are somewhat less players than usual. I recommend rolling an alt and check out both sides to see what you like best!

The imbalance last recorded is 56% Horde 44% Alliance. The World of Warcraft discord has a bit that keeps updating the most populous servers.

That’s all I really have to input. Jered sums it up nicely. Welcome to WrA, it seems daunting at first- but don’t be afraid to thrust yourself into situations. Roleplay is the best when it isn’t planned! At least, imo. If you ever need help or have a question, we’ll be here to help.

And I’m definitely missing stuff. A lot of RP takes place within/between guilds. You won’t see a whole lot of in game advertising. But if you check out Tumblr, Facebook, and the different Discords, it can really enhance your RP experience.

My wife and I rerolled here and have been liking it. It’s not without its problems but wra is a lovely server imo.

Before RealmPop was killed by the API changes (RIP) it was around 55% Horde / 45% Alliance.
I’m curious as to how they measure this.
Personally, I play WrA on both sides. People are knowledgeable and helpful on both sides, though sometimes judgment can be thrown around over odd/outlandish characters. Don’t let it discourage you.
I’ve RP’d both factions on WRA and MG and I have to say, WRA H is my favourite. Met a lot of cool people on the red side. There are some numpties as well but you get that everywhere.
Good to know. I tried the Alliance side earlier today and it wasnt nearly as active as Horde side.
Yeah most people I know are Horde on WRA and Alliance on MG.

I am hoping this will change when it’s not BfA anymore. BfA has not been good to us as a server.
If nothing else, both sides will probably get more active than they are now, even if the balance doesn’t change much.
