I have max mining and blacksmithing, I am thinking of dropping mining for enchanting. Will my blacksmith suffer? I don’t really even use my mats for anything. I have not even posted my ore on the auction house so I feel it’s wasted profession. Help what would be a good 2nd profession?

imho i would keep it we might see more Blacksmithing plans down the line
and most of the enchantments get cheap-dirt cheap down the line

Yea I had no idea the enchants get so cheap. You also bring a valid point that we might get new plans or something do the road.

I wouldn’t recommend enchanting to make money,
Blue crystals don’t sell for much anymore and you very rarely get a purple crystal from DEing epics.
You also will make zero money on selling enchants until you can guarantee tier 2 with a good chance for tier 3.
It would take you a long time to pay off the gold you spent on levelling the enchanting

Enchanting is a great way to make money, just not as one would normally think.
With the proper specialization, special “gear” drops (I forget what they’re called), including epics, that aren’t equipped but can be DEd, is a great source for mats to place on the AH.
But it requires you to do one of those 4x2 farms for a few hours.
If that kind of gameplay is up your alley, Enchanting can be quite good.

What’s a 4x2 farm?
2x4 farms allow 8 people to kill and loot mobs instead of the traditional 5 allowing a significantly higher “kills per hour” as well as the ability to access farms which require more than 5 people to force the hyper spawn
Simply put, 2×4 refers to two groups of four players
