I played at the beginning and got to like level 24 or so. Are there active guilds that are open to new players and have active runs in lower raids/dungeons that are recruiting?
Prefer alliance for the leveling zones, but will go horde as well.

So long as you’re on Wild Growth of Crusader Strike, there’s still plenty of activity in game. Though it does tend to spike in the afternoon/evening for both servers.
Also I’ve been hearing tell that Wild Growth Horde is having population troubles or something, so if you can you’re probably better off playing Wild Growth Alliance for PvE, or CS Horde or Alliance for PvP.

Playing wild growth alliance rn level 24 paladin. Started 3 days ago. Can’t believe how populated this server is. Was like 20 players questing in Duskwood an hour ago. I thought SoD was dead.

You’re in the same boat as me. I played in phase 1 and got to like 15 and just dropped it. I recently came back to it, and leveled a Priest to 37 as of right now in the Crusader Strike server. Having a lot of fun. Penance feels so good.
There’s some weird stuff in the game like incursion events (these help you level. Basically dailies) and random Silithus mobs in low level zones that are elite around floating crystals. As well as a blood moon PvP event in stranglethorn vale you can opt out of with an NPC.
Other than that. The game is actually way more alive than you would think. I see people questing out in the world just fine. Even had a nice Druid do the incursion dailies with me yesterday. Cities are populated. Both Stormwind and ironforge

There’s next to zero active guilds let alone ones recruiting. The servers are in era levels of population (dead). Should consider starting on the anniversary servers those are the ones that have a population and active player base! You would be solo leveling if you pick sod or era right now! Horde side on wildgrowth seems really dead.

Stay away from wild growth horde. It’s one of the most toxic and obnoxious community which is eating itself up. Join alliance side. It has one of the best community. Very friendly and always ready to lend a helping hand. No wonder horde side is dead. Everytime I log in all i see is enormous amount of coping and insults in chat if any low level ask anything. If horde completely dies off on wild growth tomorrow nothing of value will be lost. They are extremely sensitive about their low population.
But if you really want to play only horde then join pvp server. Surprisingly active and very friendly players always ready to help.
