Hello there dear forums and welcome to the war zone of opinions you’ve decided to stumble into, today we will talk about things that we thought where over rated, tell other people they were wrong and in the end get no where, so let me start
First of MoP class design was over rated, it’s almost like having xpac after xpac with no pruning hit a point where almost every class was busted and had every tool in their kit they more than likely didn’t need.
All I remember from this expansion was stupid mechanics that didn’t need to exist aside from the point of mindlessly making things slightly more complicated than they needed to be
An example of this was monks noodle damage until they hit their stacks of tigers eye brew and could now punch a hole through the lich king
Or the combat rogues insight mechanic that only purpose was to make it that I had to wait until I’d slapped something enough times to let me killing spree it
The second most over rated thing to exist was all of legion, most the systems that carried over have sucked aside from M+ which still can suck
The weapons were the most over rated trash I’ve ever seen - complete this quest for this amazing weapon you may have heard, the quest will provide no challenge and will take 10 minutes and after it’s completed you will be the chosen one to receive this super weapon then you will be teleported back to your order hall so you can look at every other champion with the same weapon as you
Now you can all lose your minds over some passive buffs, they used to be in the game and were called talents but we removed them and added them again and now everyone loves passive stuff
You may also get these amazing legendary items from doing 4 daily quests - these unique items will use the same model as some of your favourite questing items
Also enjoy running around these extremely hilly zones that would be a lot better if you could fly
And enjoy the 2/3rds of a class we have given you, they’re almost carbon copies of wind walker monks but they have been listening to bullet for my valentine

Unpruning is overrated. Most abilities were pruned for a reason, and more buttons doesnt equal more fun. In Shadowlands, I’ll now have the option to take a DPS loss and cast fireball instead of arcane blast. Yay I guess.

WotLK was the pinnacle of WoW
You can attempt to fight that but you’ll be wrong
You also just reminded me that legion also had templates for PvP

Some of the unpruning will be useful, but yeah, when you just bring back old abilities that have no interaction with the specs … kinda leaves you in a “whats the point?” quandry.

You might think that and I’ll just continue to believe you have horrible taste and are drawn to big numbers like a moth to a lamp
WotLK who? If it didn’t involve the Jade Forest, dinosaurs, Anduin, or Thisalee, I don’t care.
Jade forest was nice, the rest of the zones were ugly
And half those characters you listed sucked and the other half I’d have to google
Just the opinions I’d expect from an LFR hero.

I think most people agree that wod sucked, I don’t think many people think the class design was that great and the only reason they liked pvp is because it’s the time before they decided to try to systematically destroy pvp
Casting fireball should be advantageous in certain scenarios I would think.

I’ve done heroic on the current raid tier, but if we are trying to shame each other then your player kill numbers are weak

It was the last time rogues actually resembled rogues outside of Assassination.
We had a 50% deep insight
That could have been the most annoying mechanic I’ve ever had to experience and didn’t even play a rogue because it was horrible
MoP was awesome, I think I PvP’ed the entire expansion, got my Bloodthirsty title and had a great time.
I didn’t care for the zones or the over the top old school Asian themes and I don’t like Pandas much if I’m honest, but the game play was very good.
Legion was when I stopped maining my Priest and decided to yolo everything on my Prot Pally!
Got my Flail from Kruul and some fun titles, solo’d a bunch of Mythics and had a blast, I miss that expansion very much.
I think the bfa hate train is overrated

Legion was pretty god damn good compared to Cata, MoP, and WoD. It was really different in terms of actual design across the board, and I’ll admit the zone design was awful compared to WoD, but I had the most fun in Legion.
Saying that… I adore MoP design wise, but blizzard shouldn’t have based that xpac on pandas… If I were in charge I would’ve made the focus the Mogu so it wouldn’t have been so polarizing. I think a lot more people could get behind big rock creatures than pandas.
