When it is proven that the right click reporting is automated (that’s really what people are worried about, not reducing the number of clicks to file a report), would you report… let’s say… a hunter for rolling on and winning Dal Rends prior to the DM rollout if there are rogues and fury warriors in the group? Or if you were a rogue or fury warrior in the group? Do any of you have a vindictive streak or are you all saints?
And if you are all saints, why do we need an automated system?
Already said they could remove the squelch component. and no I would not report someone for that, especially since Classic will launch the same as Vanilla did and Deadmines is open at launch.
… I haven’t played since… october or november but I’ve never found myself muted. I never shied away from conversation in general and trade nor any of the extra channels I entered. I even talked politics in trade and never gave in to the seemingly larger amount of people who didn’t agree with my political views.
Why would I ever be afraid of being muted for properly calling Deadmines VC?
Does it make a difference if it is bug if that bug is pretty consistently disconnecting people who are squelched?
If it is a bug, why have they not fixed it?
Or is this going to a “bug” like the two person mount bug after CRZ’s were implemented and passengers were getting dismounted when crossing CRZ boundaries?
Blizzard repeatedly told us that was a “bug” and they would fix it. They apparently could not fix it without disabling CRZ’s and their story changed from “it’s a bug and we’ll fix it” to “it’s working as intended”.
They chose to leave a bug in the game that was causing player characters to die (characters being dismounted from flying mounts and falling to their deaths) rather than remove a feature that very few people, if any, requested and that to this day remains one of the most hated aspects of Wow.
The community can’t intervene in the reporting system, and isn’t even aware of who issued the reports. Therefore, the community isn’t a factor since it can’t react.
Sure it is, the reports are issued by players, they’re not arbitrarily assigned by the system. So if you get silenced it’s because the community wanted you silenced.
