Healers ONLY job is to heal… You are a slab of meat to stand in front and soak the damage. I am glad we both know our roles.
Don’t kick anything.
Don’t stand in healing circle.
Don’t use CC to stop anything.
Don’t use defensives until after the unavoidable damage hits them (I saw that late turtle).
Tanks that are wildly unpredictable in their pulls. Its hard to know when i’m supposed to ramp up or not when a tank goes from pulling a few non elites as if they’d disintegrate upon contact with a big mob, then suddenly pulls 4 packs all with casts that need to be kicked. Players refusing to stack especially on fights like last boss of ur or the dragons in halls of infusion pretty much turns mass dispell into an extra single target high cd dispell.
That’s the face I make too lol!
Things specific to me as a healer? Prolly when someone stops DPS’ing to hard cast a heal on them selves. Haven’t seen it in a loooong while, but always annoyed the crap out of me.
Edit: and nooooo it’s not cause they were dyyying, I just didn’t get around to topping them off yet
Also, at least protecting the healer, especially if Im trying to help more than 2 other players.
Believe it or not, working as a team makes things much easier.
not stand in my eathen wall totem in arena
when im about to heal them to full in pvp and they proceed to run towards the enemy / run across the map away from me instead at 5% hp rather then back up and not LoS me so i can heal them back to 100% . Then they proceed to yell at me in game chat about it like ???
or esp the time sin pvp where they get so entitled that they think im going to just pocket them to death and only them .
And that is always the Healers fault!
DPS dies 10 sec into the fight and expects you to battle rez them.
You are completely correct.
Oh man it’s why I’m OK with us hunters not having Wild Spirits cause y’know what’s gonna happen.
LoS/out-range me or stand in bad (not including Magmorax’s pools of course, for example).
Going max unga bunga .2 seconds into a pull and blowing every cd when all your damage is upfront… my brother in christ… you would die less and do more damage if you just showed a modicum of restraint.
PvP related but I hate when I’m healing and DPS kite melee into me. Anyone that PvP’s knows healers should try to stay max range to avoid cc. Moment you kite into the healer, they’re going to get CC’d and you’re going to die
Players wanting healers to dps, while they insist on doing things that require near non stop healing:
- Standing in bad. Anyone who does is bad, and should feel bad. Imma let you die in that fire when I triage heal, idgad.
- Not stopping to give heals a time to drink.
-Not eating/drinking while heals is drinking. I watch who does this, and make note of it. - Pulling more mobs when the group is already struggling.
- LoS’ing heals.
- Not using interrupts.
- Being a donkey to people. I can, and will, let you die if you do this.
- Open up a trade window while I am healing. You’ll get scolded for this, idc.
- Leaving ranged mobs up, when heals has gotten heal aggro.
I am sure there are more. There’s always more.
People in a BG that say “we only have one healer!” because they notice I am low on the chart. Or say something in chat or whisper telling me I suck at healing.
They fail to see that the enemy team might have some good players who know how to target a healer, and unless I get a new “heal while dead” spell I’m not gonna be topping the charts, also, If I see an enemy low on HP, I might pop the lid on a can of whoop on him and see if I can get the kill, can make a huge difference in a match if successful, but if not I look like a terrible healer. Also, stealthing around for flag ninja, great if successful, not great if not.
Oh god… Thank you for reminding me to get back into the game and make macro to announce when I am getting a refill.
Had a tank get pssd that everyone died on the 3rd boss in HoI. Everyone yelled at him… YOU RAN IN WITH HEALS AT 3% MANA!!!
Stand in fire. Out of Line of Sight from the healer.
I don’t raid, but do occasionally do dungeons…
and as a hunter, I tend to see the healer as part of my responsibility.
I always check to make sure nothing is aggroing the healer, and will have my pets pull whatever is doing so, to make sure the healer survives any encounters.
which means I tend to be within line-of-sight, and actually relatively close in range, to the healer.
The few times I’ve played my own healer, players being completely out-of-range has been one of the most annoying things. (that and people who join Rift raid groups that specifically say “WM OFF”, and yet are flagged PvP… meaning I see their health go down, but then cannot heal them at all.
