Things are getting crazy

A friend I made in wow, said brb sounds like protests going on outside her apartment. She lives in NYC, and she has not log back on. So I’m a little worried.

Stay safe all, no matter what side you pick. These leaders are not worth us fighting each other over. Ya, i know people don’t like threads like this, but I am worried about her.

Edit she is fine. This is what happen.

I asked her if it was ok to let people know, since she is spreads awareness and tries to help people. She explain to me best she could.

Someone threw something near her window, and she said it trigger a feeling of her being attacked? so she hide in her safe area. It snowball to each horn that got blown, felt like a weird PTSD attack of her being yelled at and threaten by people. So even after the protest was done, it took her a long time to get calm down.

She is ok, well as ok she can be. Her body feels like she was attacked even though she was not. I’m not sure how it works, but she says her wrists, and arms feels sore like someone grabbed her.

I can’t even picture your mind thinks something is so real that your body reacts to something that did not happen. My god, I’m so happy she is ok.

Besides the joke please? It’s something to do with the election isn’t it? I live somewhere else so I dunno what’s going around the other side of the world.

Antifa has been apparently protesting against both candidates, calling for anarchy. Saw a live stream of them last night but they weren’t doing anything besides sitting in a street.

Just a bunch of privileged hooligans looking to cause chaos.

I’m not really sure what it is about right now or reasons. It is elections for sure. I had to go look it up. News said every vote matter protests.

The only reason i’m worried is she has schizophrenia, and all this tension has been hard on her.

bagel shop running out of cream cheese would’ve caused a ruckus on the block i lived on in Staten Island

edit: jokes aside, i remember when access out of Staten Island was blocked during the march for Eric Garner

Protesting is fine and not a problem at all. Trying to burn down cities, create lawless zones, promote civil unrest, etc are all bad though.

I understand both sides of things.

The stress of Covid alone was taking a toil on her. I’m just hoping that she is resting in her safe area.

I worked all over NYC and in the five boroughs for years. Protests are the least of her problems lol. I’m sure everything will be fine

That is good, She could be in her safe space. It is a media/net blackout area.

Most of the time she lets me know, so it got me a little worried. Glad things calm down.

Let’s not pretend the other side is acting any better.

Nah, last time i checked it wasn’t the young millenial republicans who were rioting and burning buildings.

Yea. Soooo much better that they are out on the streets crashing into busses. Out in AZ, Penn state and MI demanding to be let in to see votes for themselves. Walking around with armed weapons (2nd amendment i agree) trying to intimidate voters. Please spare me. If it matters I’m a moderate independent.
