one thing that old models has though is the light reflective effect which is absent from newer models. So there is pro’s and cons on that.
When weapons weren’t larger than the size of my character and didn’t look completely stupid.

No, you have not yet.
I think all of these looks were just datamined and not all of them are available for transmog. Yet. There are some different versions of the axes and swords I’d like. And the warglaives.
All of my characters use the older mogs for weapons, the ones that are smaller and not so bloated. My monk uses Handwraps of Fallen Blossoms as a monk uses her hands, not weapons to fight anyhow. It just looks right.
