They Wanted to Kick Him Because He Didn't Talk, Then His Mom Messaged Me

A lot of communities would probably like several, many of which would be unrepeatable here. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

There is no leaver penalty in M+.

Itā€™s like calling the cops IRL, whoever calls them first wins lol

You just sound like the other face of the same coin, though.

I think you got cat fished.

Joking.

I was in this group and this is not true in any way. No one was talking and talking. We kicked the tank because he didnā€™t know what he was doing.
The tank was a 39 year old man named Greg with a wife and two kids and this is concern trolling.
Completely made up story .

Iā€™ve brought this up before. They just click the box to get it off their screen. Iā€™ve seen ā€œlolā€ ā€œlmaoā€ ā€œidiotā€ ā€œloserā€ ā€œstole my gearā€ and many other ridiculous reasons. I always vote no and sometimes it loses but most often, it passes because people donā€™t care.

2 hours on the weekend ? What is he in some kinda camp lolā€¦ I played spongebob on the wii with my daughter all the time all day

I see vote to kick i hit yes, simple as.

People donā€™t talk in dungeons, at most a gg at the end, so cool story bro.

If I didnā€™t trust my kid to handle people saying things to him on the internet at 14 I probably wouldnā€™t let him be on the internet at 14.

It sucks that the world is what it is but itā€™s a parents job to teach them to survive it, not be their snowplow who shields them from life and needs to speak to the group leader when they get kicked from a group

Or make them jump through weird hoops because of their own damage.

It is my kid got banned from talking because he started to repeat the bad stuff we cant control others but we can not stoop to there lvl.

I did the same when my kid were younger; all chat off, they couldnā€™t talk to anyone. They were also occasionally kicked from dungeons but because I also play WoW I told them not to worry and to do other stuff while they waited to go back in.

Honestly, usually it was something they did wrong because they were learning, but people are impatient and intolerant, and I told my kids that.

I never kick or report unless there are really good reasons, because I always wonder if the person is a child or teen, or new and learning. Most of the time everyone just stays quiet because they are in discord!

My kids are older now and gaming-savvy so I think I taught them right!

This.

As I age and here storyā€™s like this Iā€™m all the more grateful of my parents style of ā€œI can give you advice you can take it or not but experience will always teach youā€.

I made so many friends gaming from 13-16 in the MMO era as well. I canā€™t imagine not being allowed to socialize in an online game that was built around socialization (not WoW anymore)

To be fair, itā€™s scary being a parent, especially today. I donā€™t envy the job.

100% this. Our kid played on my husbandā€™s account with all the chat turned off. No one could talk to her and she couldnā€™t talk to anyone else. She could be on discord with our guild (several of us had youngsters playing at that time), and they would answer questions or talk to her, and the kids would often be in channels together as most of them were similar in age. It was actually one of the most wholesome things ever.

They got older, we got them their own accounts, and many of those kids raided with us until they left for college, including ours.

I never once tried to communicate with anyone in a dungeon our daughter played through, and I canā€™t imagine a scenario in which I would have, but the ā€œmy kid plays but isnā€™t allowed to talk to peopleā€ part tracks 100%.
