Season 2 was slimy green, season 4 slimy blue. Big different I have been told, but one thing I know for sure is that blizzard sure is slimy.

Absolutely with you on that one. I was kind of meh about all the KSM mounts but this one I really really want!
I guess its a bit like raid gear - LFR/Normal/Heroic/Mythic gear is the same, just mostly with different colours. So you get the same mount each season, just a slightly different skin.
