They Twist the Knife

You should  Don’t give up and don’t let it beat you down. If you managed to get the boss to 1% health then you pretty much got it in the bag and might have just had some tough rolls with incoming damage. It happens.

You got this, and we believe in you

a lot of powers are % based, higher base > more power

Lol thanks I wasn’t expecting to get motivated

Its all about perspective  If you get beat down and in a dump its easy to only see the negatives and take on a “Whats the point why am I trying?” attitude. Just gotta pick yourself up, maybe take a break and then attack it again with a clear mind.

Might see a solution you didn’t see before and it never hurts to look to others for some advice.

1st they buffed the floor bosses, now they buff the trash…

I haven’t got past layer 3 yet, almost made it through layer 4 of one wing and died to the boss…

So i know there is no point in continuing now that even the trash has been buffed.

I can accept my ilvl maybe the limiting factor (wish they stated what ilvl you need per layer) anyways, when and if i raise my ilvl i may try again…

That means nothing when having those powers to begin with is completely random.

I have been doing fine on my hunter and he’s MM with 155 item level. IDK about rouges. I know Paladin and Druids can do just fine and I know a warrior and warlock that do fine solo too.

I do know a mage that had a hard time solo but I think he is just not used to kiting, at the last boss his damage was great on top of increases our whole party’s by a ton.

Except, your struggle with Torghast clearly is selling you short. There comes a point where if something is easy for everyone else, and not you, that maybe you need to understand that you are being ignorant about something and may be flawed. As they say, incompetent people always think they are amazing.

I’m no fool, but you clearly are. Don’t be so prideful and cocky.

oh and to add… it is such a drag i have no desire to run alts through either…

Ah well It’s easier to stick to one character to focus upon. That’s why It’s a such a terrible drag to start over again. I’ve done It a few times. But after another test later I will find out If I have to do It again.

So now you’ll grind for over an hour to get to a stat check boss you can’t kill literally wasting all your freetime.

I guess it pads that /played though

They made it harder for us too.

Happy that they not only made it harder for tanks/heals, but also nerfed a bunch of anima powers? Not this paladin.

I had this same thought as well.

I admit, the difficulty spike from the run itself vs. the final boss does feel extremely overtuned. You can walk through the place relatively easy, then really struggle to beat the last boss.

Perhaps Torghast should be pushing you out well before you spend 6 floors trekking through if you’re not ready for the last boss.

Not every class is going to dominate every piece of content.

If it takes too long to get through the floors that should be a hint that the boss might be beyond your current state. So again, sounds like the right change. Better than trash that makes you overconfident followed by a boss that 2-shots you.

I’m not even 60 yet and I can think of several other options:

  1. Git gud (are there really any classes that CAN’T solo it? Or even any specs?)
  2. Gear, we are at the very beginning of a season, everyone’s power will go up in the coming months
  3. More Ve’nari upgrades (unless you already have them all, is that even possible yet?)
  4. More power from the renown system (the cap rises every week). Soulbind abilities, conduits, even the stam would help in some situations.

High floors in early weeks are going to be hard. In a month they won’t be as hard. In two months people will laugh if you say they were ever hard.

So we’re going off hints now… usually if you go into a raid and you’re wiping on trash that’s a rough sign… it taking a beating isn’t a hint.
