They really should get rid of warcraft logs or details, its toxic

Or any addons or 3rd party websites that are like that. At this point I just want to play with people, but for example one guy who didn’t picked for the 20 people in mythic because his “parse” wasn’t good enough.

It’s hilarious blizzard still promotes this toxicity in the game. Like he’s one of the guys we leveled and geared up but his class or he himself sucks so he cant raid with us.

pls stop this.

Its either get rid of them addons/websites OR not have a maximum raid group. make mythic more than 20 people.

The thing with this is, is that blizzard tend to put classes with huge disparity in dps.

Like look at the world first, notice there’s certain classes that arent even there ? but theres certain classes that have alot there?

I think blizzard should get rid of them until they find a way to balance things out.

Also I don’t raid anymore. :person_shrugging: i just find it very toxic that this thing still exist.

It’s great tho, good to look at fights in restospect and get better from it.

If they get rid of those, they need to get rid of timed content too because, while I dont do M+, I can very much see the NEED for knowing how good the players are who youre inviting into it…and the damage they can do per second and their acheives are good indicators to that ends.

sounds like the PLAYERS involved in making this decision are what’s “toxic” not the simple system of parsing combat logs.

I would offer that they’re not “toxic” to anything besides success. You want them to make intentionally bad decisions for inclusivity’s sake and your solution is to remove the tools that allow them to make good decisions OR to make mythics have no curated/specified difficulty based on configurations of 20 players.

That’s not toxicity, he couldn’t perform at the level required.

its whatever. (warcraftlogs)

the guy that gets fed PI and that healers like is getting 99s and the others die pre boss death and all get grey parses

i stopped looking it promotes weird behaviors.

i do like details tho.

I use details so I have hard proof that the majority of players are better than me. I’m the one competing with the tank for #3 on DPS.

You can play without add-ons, the rest of us will continue to use them.

this is exactly why they should get rid of it. Just promotes toxicity that its cringe.

Have you even done mythic raids ? I did, and you cant mess around in there, if your team is not top you going now where

without details and WCL Blizzard would likely be more okay with letting specs languish in mediocrity for longer, personally i’d just suggest you and anyone likeminded saddle up for a group with people who don’t care about parses instead of feeling like you’re owed a raid spot (per your example, if he was parsing low, and they wanted someone better, that’s entirely within their right, as much as it sucks.)

Sounds like you dont understand the factors and mechanics of success.

Yea if they got rid of DEtails, they would need to make dps basically irrelevant, so it didn’t matter how much dps you were doing. No thanks, DEtails is just a tool, if people are being toxic like saying "Oh I’m a great dps or you are a bad dps (exxagerated, of course) that is people being toxic, not the add on

I wonder what other tools out there that are used for negative purposes that should not be available. It’s always those “tools”.

Logs is an easily manipulated joke.

I use details to improve my own game.

What is hilarious is you not understanding. They are not promoting anything, they are providing information for players to make an informed decision. For example if you are constantly hitting a DPS check and failing, looking at the DPS performance will help the raid leader making adjustments as needed.

As a DPS player, you should be checking yourself and using the logs to see where you need to improve. Knowledge isn’t toxic, it is what you do with it that can make it so.

While I agree there are issues about parses, because many players don’t understand how to use them. (For instance, looking only at dps without looking at how many mechanics someone was eating.) I don’t think getting rid of them would be any kind of solution here.

People will always find a way to exclude someone they think is not doing as well. Even in games where ad-ons are supposedly not allowed, people have simply taken the discussion about performance to Discord.

There is also the issue that there is a minimum level of performance that needs to be met for a group to kill a boss or make a timer. Lower content already exists for people who don’t want to or can’t do those things.

It might be a shock to someone like you but people find COMPETITIVENESS fun, its fun to get better and you get better with… Logs and details

2 things can mutually coexist in the nature of a competitive game like H/M pushing…

I play a game to get better and I love that, I check my parses to get better and that’s my fun

If you cant push a certain level due to poor dps and people are wasting their whole night its natural to get kicked. Get better, check your logs and practice your rotation, thats the fun of everything
