They need more shadowy sets to get

I feel as a shadow priest there are very few sets that feel shadowy. there blackrock foundry, one from nighthold and the shadowy spider one from i think firelands???

everything else feels holyish. am i the only one who feels this way?

Blizz likes to pretend shadow priests dont exist. The entire Legion priest campaign just felt wrong as a shadow priest, as did the extension bit in 7.2.

Cruel Gladiator PvP set. Swarmfury and Faceless Follower set.

And there’s plenty of xmog sets you can work with around off-set pieces in the various raids over the years.

so that’s 6 full sets and then there is mix matching stuff. i still feel like we get screwed on what’s available as a shadowy harbinger of death.

It’s 1 spec out of 3, 6 sets is plenty. Honestly, how often do you find class sets that fit the theme of all 3 specs in one go, for classes that have distinct identities? Do us druids have separate sets? Mages? Priests aren’t special. At least you have shadow form to make pretty much anything go “shadowy”. 3 out of 4 druid specs don’t see our gear in combat.

And i found those 3 sets after 20 seconds of googling. You want more “shadowy sets”, go look up the warlock tiers. There’s plenty of it that has equivalent drops that isn’t class locked.

My favorite thing is how theres two Old God themed sets but they’re warlock sets.

those are for warlocks. and yes for mages, rogues, monks, paladins, shadowknights, warriors, shaman, druids, hunter, and every other class in the game. i can find sets that look good on all the specs. more than shadow since every other spec shares a theme. shadow doesn’t share and theme and i hate shadowform because it hides my good looking transmogs when i do put a decent one together.

and druids don’t count since you are always transformed anyway.

I think every set is inferior to tier 6, and the pvp set from TBC.

Since then the shoulders are huge turnoffs for me.

I always thought the tier 4 Warlock armor would look good on a Shadow Priest especially a Void Elf.

Other than for mages and druids, and maaaaybe death knight, the others don’t really count. I mean, a rogue is a rogue. Their spec fantasy doesn’t exactly differ from the others, and same with the other classes.

Mages, on the other hand, have a much more distinct spec fantasy than all other classes. Namely, Fire, Frost and Arcane. You can’t get more distinct than that.

You’re getting really close to opinion now too. My main was a priest for 8 years. I’ve found plenty of sets and gear that fit all 3 specs. But that’s my opinion, and you have yours. That doesn’t make either of us the “ultimate right”. Shadow shares the theme with Discipline too. Discipline is meant to incorporate Shadow magic alongside Holy. That means any set that fits their class fantasy, should fit either Holy or Shadow as well.

And who says you can’t use Warlock themed gear, if you can wear it? If the game devs specifically put those appearances on off-tier pieces so you can wear it, then you’re “meant” to wear it. And if you think that shadowform hides your xmogs, then use the Glyph of Shadow like the rest of us.

And that’s precisely my point for druid. Ya’ll priests are lucky.

I have a pretty shadowy set myself that goes perfect with my name

edit: btw Firelands Heroic has some pretty cool looking gear for Shad Priests

Give the art team a break, between Rogues, Locks, Demon Hunters and Death Knights practically half the tiers are dark and edgy one way or another.

I use the Garb of the Shadowmoon set for my affliction transmog. I like it.

Void elf heritage armor is pretty shadowy too
