Vanilla is in desperate need to add PVP weapons that people who DO NOT want to raid can obtain and keep up with raiders.
Everyone that doesn’t raid quits around AQ for a reason. You literally CANNOT get a decent weapon unless you raid and it kills the open world.
I am not asking for OP pvp weapons. We just want to stay on PAR with PVE gear. Raiding is so easy in vanilla you can afk watch netflix and gear out. That is not fun to a lot of us.
Add pvp weapons to progress with and keep the open world alive!
My IRL friends summed it. They’re arguing which class to roll when the new classic comes out.
A couple of them said I would go rogue but you can’t get weapons. My other buddy said yea but it will all die out around AQ ish gear anyways so it won’t matter…

Give people who do not wish to or have the time to Raid, WEAPONS… They can’t even play the classes they want because there is no decent weapons to compete with pve geared people at a certain point.
People quitting at aq has nothing to do with pvp gear lol.

Whatever they do, it isn’t gonna stop people from quitting at aq. People quit there cause they don’t care to do the raids and all the good pvp happens before p4 anyways
There are the R14 weapons in the game already and you don’t need to raid to get them. It will only cost you about 7 years off your lifespan IRL but there they are.
Should Blizzard actually put weapons on par with AQ40 in the game for the low price of losing enough battlegrounds to save up for them? While that may seem fair to someone who only wants to BG or WPVP, it would virtually become a requirement to have them to raid so it just adds more gatekeeping doesn’t it?
PVP in Vanilla/Classic is very fun but also very unfair and flawed. I don’t think you are going to find a “Classic” version of the game where some amount of raiding, rather specific items from raiding aren’t BiS for PVP.
Its why i quit.

its why our discoord all talk about quitting once PVE gear gets to heavily acquired and we can’t get any weapons to compete.
Join our discoord and come discuss it with us? We all love the open world, pvp and all the players in wow.
PVP’rs deserve to be able to compete in the open world just as easily as people who raid. It makes wow that much more fun and memorable.
Easily. progression within the new pvp system to allow pvp weapons EQUAL to the current raid patch.
MC the only raid starting out? PVP weapons that equal MC equivalent. Make it take 3 or 4 weeks to get them.
Everyone can enjoy “their” wow and be on a equal footing. Thats all I am asking for.

Yes! Why not? How does this change “your” gaming experience. If you like to raid you can still raid. If you like to pvp you come out and pvp in open world or BGS.
PVE epics are easy. I have done it. Its mind boringly easy to me. I could literally watch netflix and still put up good numbers in classic. So you think “PVE easy Epics” are okay for the game but getting epics through pvp would ruin it???
That makes zero sense. PVP changes did not kill SOM. And they made it way harder to gear in WOTLK proving my point even more. We couldn’t get weapons at all to compete so we all quit.
SoM was amazing until that aq ish era. 2019 was the same thing, the world just dies off.
You are not “everyone”. Your pvp friends list is not everyone. Your “discord” is not everyone.
There is no reason for me to join your discord. None of you will listen to what I say, All i play this game for is pvp. I have been playing vanilla for pvp for many years longer than you have. I understand the greater mindset.
Pvpers are not at a disadvantage unless its era, where everyone is full t3. People still play that regardless but quit fresh at aq and naxx. Its nothing to do eith pvp.
again, I have been pvping in vanilla for almost a decade, I have played and ran many bg teams and played in tournaments. People never quit because “gear”. You are fabricating a reason based on YOUR own opinion
Look, im on your side and want participation to be up. But just inserting gear isnt the fix like you think it is.

If you don’t pve you don’t play passed a certain point, period.

PVE geared people are ALSO allowed to open world pvp, farm and do bgs. Do you see the glaring and blatant issue here? Its not even remotely fair as Rank 14 is NOT something obtainable to anyone legit that works a part time job or more.
Obviously I don’t think they should just “insert” gear but there should be a pvp gear progression ON par with PVE to make open world fair for everyone. I’m sure somebody at blizzard is smart enough to figure out a system. It’s not that difficult to make a pvp weapon that is equivalent to a pve weapon.
If people raiding have an issue with the weapon being to “OP” for raiding or whatever other excuse their going to come up with just make it so you cannot enter 40 man content with a pvp weapon

Rank14 gear you are putting entirely too much emphasis on. If you can’t win BGs because you don’t have rank 14 gear you have other issues

Are not making a case as it is entirely opinionated. There are endless accounts of everything You stated not being the rule. People pvp past aq even with bad gear and still win.
No one, absolutely no one “quits at p5” because they don’t have rank 14. Half of my friends fal into this category. You’re making a mountain out of a molehill.
For “Era” specifically, I could allow it. I don’t think you should get Nax quality weapons from PVP because the game skill required to earn high end gear is not there. Maybe they could be between BWL and AQ40 in power.
THE issue with giving PVP players in Classic gear on the same level as higher end raids is that it is literally something a bot can do. To be clear I’m not saying PVP enjoyers are bad players, I’m saying literally bots can be programmed to spam BGs, be useless and collect Honor.
I honestly don’t know how Blizzard juggles that without creating a huge mess.
Endgame Classic wow isn’t really the game for you if you absolutely don’t want to engage in any pve content. Weapons aren’t the only slot you’ll be lacking in. Even with the best pvp armor set and weapons in the game if you only pvp you’ll be stuck with sub par items in almost every accessory slot. The dedicated pvp community for classic is small enough that I don’t think these people leaving are the reason servers die out around AQ.
Completely agree here, I HATE raiding I am a PVPer, I should not be forced to do something I HATE in order to compete for PVP!
If people that HATED pvping were forced to queue or WPVP for the best raid gear the tears would be flowing. But since it’s the other way around they DGAF.
WoW PvP has never been held to the same standard of dev attention as PvE. PvP is not the game’s primary focus. Tomorrow’s PTR reveal wont change that. Hopefully it demonstrates earnest care for the overall longterm health of Classic.
Yeah wont touch era again until there is some form of weapons that are close to pve weapons for pvp, ive ran the raids many times over. Raid logging isnt fun to me, pvping is.
