Yeah no. Considering that the general public still consider feral and survival as ‘meme specs’ even though they do really high damage atm. In both keys and raids.

Also feral and survival arent even close to the best melee, so why play them when you can play easier specs that do more damage?

Looking at 95th percentile statistics…
Sure is a good thing that ~110% of 3.2k exceeds Paladin’s nearly 4.5k (or 2.7 vs. 3.8 in a pure single-target fight like Devourer), rather than merely reaching around VDH levels of dps. Yep.

It’s been two weeks. As of today, there are zero prot warriors in the top 100 tanks by RIO score. Pika is #1 prot warrior, and #121 out of all tanks. After that, you have to go down to #421 out of all tanks before you find another warrior, because Pika is almost 300 points above the next-best prot warrior.
In fact, the #1000 tank has a score of 2088.1, and there are only 9 prot warriors above this. So rather than 80% of the top 1000 being warriors like you thought, it is actually 0.9%. In other words, prot is still below 1% representation in high-level keys. That’s about where it was two weeks ago; not much has changed.
Maybe the meta is still in flux, and we’ll see a rise in prot warriors in high keys once people gear theirs up. But it sure doesn’t look like a 10% damage buff and a new leggo has suddenly catapulted Warriors to the clear best tank overall.

Dps meta hasn’t changed, therefore there is no reason to pick warriors for high keys.

They are insanely tanky now, but being the tankiest has never been what makes a tank viable. Their damage will still be very low and they cant keep threat while kiting
