Or many players have attempted this in the past and have gotten burned as the boss died before they could land a hit. Training them to hit the boss first, and then stand back and wait.
Come on guys. Pick a lane.
Devs: “People are complaining the bosses are being killed too fast before they can reach/tag them in time.” proceeds to buff the health of the bosses
Devs: “People are complaining the bosses are taking too long to kill now and that we broke it…”
I am pretty sure the health buff came first.
So the flow would be…according to your complaints
Broken - more broken - fixed some
It won’t. This is always a problem because Blizzard continues to funnel people into one zone to fight one mob. They’ve known this is a stupid idea and continue to keep doing it.
I think we both know there is a difference between buffing the health… and BUFFING the health.
The end bosses shouldn’t go from 16000ksh health to immediately over 800M.
As I stated above, they should put a cap on the amount it scales up to. Put it around 300M.
The health was raised before the changed the weekly to daily now cause of complaints from players saying the bosses were going down too fast which they were but when the upped the Health pool they went over board quite a bit now.
So the problem is that it feels more like you’re fighting a boss?
Look I get what you mean but, and I’m just gonna assume you don’t really raid much or anything, bosses aren’t supposed to be taken out in like 5 or 8 minutes. That’s kind of the whole thing about them being, well, bosses.
Thank you for inferring things, but no. I do raid. And increasing the health doesn’t make it seem more like fighting a boss, it makes it fighting a bullet sponge.
This is an open world event. That is currently, using the indicated numbers above, having a 4,900% increase within Health instantly going from 16M to 800M This percentage of course increases even more if it goes beyond 800M, like the Onyxia fight I am doing just now, her total health is 1 Billion or an increase of 6,150%.
I do not know of any raid boss that does this.
I was in Dustwallow marsh at Onyxia and I did not catch the class of the player, but he sat on his dragon mount for the duration of the fight. No idea if he ever tagged it .
They always have to ruin it. Everything they touch goes to crap when they could make gold.
There have been a lot of complaints of lag, seriously not individual prob. Thankfully I’ve had none.
Trash argument. If your late your late. Get the next spawning. It needs to die in 5 minutes or less.
It doesn’t have anything to do with being “late”
That’s a trash argument. How can you be late for something that’s random. No, it doesn’t need to die in five minutes. It’s a boss. Go one shot boars if you want something quick
The boss has at least a 30 second immunity. Nowhere on the map is more than 30 seconds away from the boss. And even if the boss died in 30 seconds (which I agree would be too quick), that still gives you a minute to tag it.
If you weren’t there at the start of the event, then there’s no guarantee you’ll get there in time anyway. The boss could have been up for 5 minutes and you could still potentially port in just as it dies.
On top of that, the events continually cycles for the whole hour, so even if you missed tagging the boss the first time, it takes no more than just doing the memories for the next cycle to spawn the boss again. Which is no different to coming in for the start of a fresh event.
The mini-bosses should take no more than a minute to kill. And the main boss no more than a couple of minutes. The quicker they die, the quicker the next cycle can start. And the quicker you complete the cycles, the more gear, currency and xp you get.
I’d rather miss a tag and have the boss spawn around quicker than for the boss to take 5 minutes to die.
WTH are people complaining about now. The event is fine now - repetitive and boring mind you but it’s fine. Already level one character from 63 to 70 and gear two that started with 330-ish gear to 460 while NOT no lifing wow this weekend.
All hours totaled since Friday night (first time I played pre patch) about 8 hours total the most was today I played about 4 hours .
See, this person gets it.
I get the intent of buffing boss and mini-boss HP, but it sort of runs counterintuitively with the intended design of the event as it stands currently. Repeatable content meant to be done at a rapid-fire pace but with bullet sponges for some reason? Make it make sense.
i guess you’ve never heard the term “exploit early…”
As someone who is trying to enjoy the event and level alts, boss mobs have 50% more hp than they should.
If the lag wasn’t so bad i wouldn’t care but I’m literally casting one moonfire every 8 seconds…. So
To be fair, the main reason the health was an issue before was because the event didn’t repeat; if you weren’t there when the boss spawned you probably missed it for about four and a half hours. Now that the event repeats infinitely for the time it’s active in a given zone, we’re talking maybe a 15-20 minute wait instead which is much more reasonable and ultimately makes the health buff redundant.
Unfortunately, Blizzard isn’t always capable of adding one plus one and getting two; sometimes they get potato.
