Is it no longer going to dispel magic?
That’s not entirely what it said. Just saying that the 90% dmr is going go last 3 sec instead of 1.5
It would also say in the notes that they have removed the ability to dispel magic effects. This is just awkward tooltip datamining most likely.
They said it was reworked and what it now does.
Ok let’s riot then while we speculate. Or someone can log on ptr and check. I’m busy.
A 3 sec effect with no dispelling is much better.
I beg to differ…
I beg to emphasize that if it was indeed 3 sec, you can s-d-r for just the cost of one global. I would rather have that.
Ok i tested, tactics doesn’t remove magical effects. This is so bad ROFL
I hope its a mistake…
Don’t need lingering magical effects when you can just get globaled because you’re already the lowest on the totem pole. But there’s always that craptastic Dragonscale Armor, yea? Is anyone surprised that still exists since it was implemented since Legion?
I’m surprised Blizzard didn’t improve that talent yet. That would be nice if they went along with my idea of it reducing magical damage by a portion of actual armor rating. It would make that mail armor more like mail.
I disagree.
My two mains are MM Hunter and Aff Lock.
I don’t think a Hunter should be able to completely counter an Aff’s entire set-up with one button. There’s no out-play there.
But a 3sec 90% dmg reduction could be used at the correct time to negate a ton of damage.
Classes should be fun to play and fun to play against. Hunters already counter Casters as a general rule, why do they need to double-dip into anti-magic when they could also get some anti-melee love.
As a class with no self sustainability, yes we we should get that against rot. Not like we can run behind a pillar and heal ourselves.
You can disagree if you want. Aff locks still had the ability to kill hunters and classes having counters is a good thing. Removing tactics ability to dispel magic effects is a trash change
Hey, same as me.
But Affliction has been unseen for a good while post-Leg. We never really had a “dot meta” until now, unless it is now. If that all of a sudden reversed into Warlockcraft/BalanceCraft/ShadowCraft, then by all means this would be a bad change.
this is disappointing.
Baseline Vampiric touch and Unstable afflication were already countering that PVP talent. That was a fun tool that helped to go into stealth and now the fun is gone again.
Pardon me for saying that I don’t think people are lining up to apply for Priest and Warlock positions so they can faceroll on Hunters. It’s not quite as disappointing when you’re not going to see this being a problem.
Nobody will play one class just to dominate hand over fist over just one class only.
And what’s funny about that is that would get rid of all this MeleeCraft. It would become RangeCraft, CasterCraft. I don’t really see this happening. Even as I got out of SL, seeing a Priest or a Lock was a TREAT compared to what I saw a lot more.
Id much rather fight melee as survival than a spriest or boomy.
Not a problem because…
…
…
MeleeCraft.
