Even though most folks are gonna be busy with TWW from now on, I just wanna make these lines in today’s hotfix notes more visible for anyone who may be interested:
It took until now for it to happen and it was their fault in the first place, but they finally went in and readjusted these instances after 11.0 massively buffed them. I honestly expected them to just leave it as it was. Thanks for proving me wrong, Blizz!
EDIT: SL also turns on legacy loot when you reach level 71!
For Drest’agath, you may need to get a debuff from one of the adds that allows you to counter his healing. Aside from that he’s pretty easy, just may not be zergable without that debuff depending on gear.
I’ve yet to do any SL stuff myself period, so I can’t really say. Some of it was soloable in 10.2.7 so it should be once again, but I think it’s still pretty gear dependent. SL also doesn’t have legacy loot, so you’ll be getting a max of one item per boss anyway without that and usually nothing at all. But at least legacy loot is enabled starting at level 71, so if there’s anything you’re able to clear it’ll be a lot faster to collect appearances now!
Ah ok. So not legacy just yet. They didn’t buff player damage to do 10 million per hit like I do in legion raids for example. My guild would sometimes do SL mog runs and it was always multiple drops that required rolls, rather than personal loot. I think the last time I did a BFA raid in a group (before it was recently made legacy) it was still basically personal loot and we would just trade drops to each other. The changes to transmog is going to put a hell of a kink in that though.
I wouldn’t count on seeing any ‘legacy buff’ like you’re thinking of for BfA or beyond until we see another stat squish, since that’s what these ‘buffs’ are supposed to compensate for. BfA is trivial enough to be comfortable in its current state, given that basically nothing can kill you and all of the anti-solo mechanics are gone now.
Mythic Ny’alotha took me nearly two hours to clear on my first run in 11.0 (it was also only my second run ever, so I’m not super experienced with it yet), which is long as hell for a legacy raid, but that was only because of how much health everything had. I was never in danger of dying and usually wasn’t even taking damage through my meager shadow-spec absorb shield lol
But now that everything’s more or less back to how it was in 10.2.7, it’ll be a lot faster!
Mythic N’zoth is easy. Mythic G’huun is difficult but doable if you’re over 500 ilvl (being able to heal yourself is also helpful). And that was last week before the nerfs. I’m sure it’s significantly easier now.
Shadowlands raids are not considered Legacy right now, at least not at level 70. I wonder if it’ll trigger at level 80 or Blizzard just forgot to hit the switch.
