From individual class tier sets, to only one transmog per armor type, to one for each covenant. Were you drunk when you came up with this progression Blizz?

I assumed that the covenant stuff was separate from raid / pvp gear like season 1.
The raid gear will probably look similar to what our legendaries do, but as a whole set. All chains-ey and skullous.

Shhh, let OP think the Covenant transmogs is the only thing coming in the patch. Don’t ruin it for him.
wait for 9.3 where we get the same set just different tint for each cov because “we are united against the Jailer”…I just love the snake oil pitch that comes with it, they really think we are some stupid cash cows

shhhh walk into a thread specifically discussing the transmogs announced just to say hey there are more content announced…not to ruin your fun we know but we are discussing the quality and effort put specifically for the transmog…I think you’re lost
So why compare them to tier sets when they are separate content?
OP is thinking these are the only sets in 9.1, completely ignoring sets that come from raids.
We shall see if they even announce tier. I would not be surprised if it is suddenly, “maybe in 9.2,” hoping that the new covenant sets will somehow appease us.
Castle Nathria got it’s own transmog sets. What makes you think Sanctum of Domination would be any different?

Hell even the covenants got different armor types on launch. This is some low effort bs.

Tier sets are transmogs.
Tier sets are sets of gear with bonuses on them and stats. That is what I am referencing. Cosmetic transmog set is not a tier set. Do you understand the difference or are you simply being obtuse for nonsensical reasons? Truly, sometimes your inability to comprehend a simple statement is astounding.
Because when Blizzard stopped doing tier sets, they told us they were going to make up for it by increasing the number of transmogs they designed for other content. They said the overall amount would remain about the same but they’d shift resources to quest sets, dungeon sets, etc etc.
Instead it seems like we just get fewer sets.
Like CN, it’ll get one set per armor type, which will be the same as the new PvP set (because 6 recolors of the same set is exciting). We’re seeing the decrease in unique raid and PvP transmog, but we’re not seeing the corresponding increase in unique non-raid/PvP transmog that was supposed to come with it.

I mentioned in another thread I’m kinda interested in having a “cloth” set to work with, I wouldn’t get this sort of appearance with leather.
Adding more options to the mog library is nice, you can even mix and match with your other cov set if it works.
I am pretty sure sets are suppose to return with this raid? I have no idea though, I was thinking about how they’d work with slots taken up by legendaries now occasionally.
I am pretty sure they said it would be like Legion where the first raid gave us… EN stuff and then after that back to normal~
They could always have changed their mind though D:
I’m assuming not because they didn’t mention tier sets at Blizzcon, but who knows. Maybe they’ll address it in the Q&A because it seems like a popular question.
I don’t mind that there’s only a few because they’re moggable by all armor types. I think that it’s worth it if the trade off is less sets. Can’t wait to show off my thighs with that kyrian mog 
You know… The Bastion gear will look really off on my Demon Hunter. But then again, I don’t think there is a single covenant that fits him anyways.
I may just be a bit more positive about it here and assumed they don’t want to reveal everything now, save a little stuff for closer to the date. They could have just been avoiding to confirm if they did decide not to bring them back just as easily, too.
Hopefully the Q&A has a few answers, for sure.
