I must say that the way the drakes fly is a horrible system. I have been playing WoW before there even was flying, and I must say this is by far the worst perk I have experienced.
Opinions?

Do you mean dragonriding itself? Or the animations of the proto drakes?
Because dragonriding is amazing. One of the best things they’ve ever added to the game. And it’s been almost universally loved and praised. There’s a reason it’s been made available in all flying zones and being expanded upon in TWW.
If you’re new to it, OP, don’t worry. You’re not alone in getting a bad first impression. It takes some practice, but most of all it takes unlocking all the upgrades and abilities. Prioritise getting those, you’ll find it much better.
I’m assuming you boosted through Dragonflight yesterday and haven’t had any time to practice yet.
It gets a lot better, especially with dragon glyphs. I’m not sure if you get those from boosting or not, but before you do the system is very not fun.
I would suggest clarifying what exactly your issue is, OP.
Need more input. lol to what exactly are you trying to say?
The fully upgraded flight is the best thing ever added. First impressions with unupgraded flight is pretty rough.
10.2 probably should have given a glyph skip to all accounts like SL had for renown.
Maybe s4 should have a glyph skip.
But the glyphs are meant to help you learn how to master the flying
And this doesn’t go for those incapable of the system yadda yadda “dragonflight sux ad nauseum every flight thread” keep that to yourselves I’m speaking generally.
Yeah Dragon Flying is too easy. They should add depth. Say, like DCS, Elite Dangerous, or Star Citizen levels of keybinding and extra hardware required to handle your mount.
I think you must be new to the game… You’re wearing the 424 boosted gear so that means you haven’t gone out and found all the glyphs. Try reading this.
Oh, don’t get me wrong, I loved the whole thing.
Fully locked or fully unlocked doesn’t effect me. I was just trying to look at it from an outsiders perspective. It could be considered “hard” “punishing” or “unintuitive” by some. I could understand that.
It’s up to some dude at blizzard if they want to do anything about that, though. Even if they showed me their data of people who quit because of dragon riding I’d still be clueless in what to do with that info.
Alice in Chains are no-talent hacks. People who eat pickles in any form are sick in the head. Game 1 of the 1988 World Series is the greatest event in all of professional sports.
You know. That thing.
I adapted to dragonriding so completing that it was starting to feel jarring to go back to old flying. As soon as dragonriding was added to the old world, it felt so natural that I have had to stop and remind myself that I’ve only had it for a week-
It’s a lot closer to how a dragon would actually fly.
I don’t think I even understand yours?
That’s just silly. It takes, what, an hour to get all the glyphs? And that whole time you’re practicing Dragonriding, which means you’ll be better at it even if you hadn’t picked up the glyphs?
Dragonriding has been incredibly popular, so that’s your “Opinions?” question answered.
Currently you need to find these glyphs around the dragon isles to really empower it, and it certainly can feel a bit lackluster before you get them.
Take the time to find some of those glyphs, use a guide or addon if you want to speed it along.
I know I’m in the minority but I hate dragonfligght, and I hate everything about dragons. Also, with the last update people can now dragonride their giant dragons in ALL the zones of the game, which has totally ruined it for me as I cannot stand the sight of dragons EVERYWHERE! They are huge, noisy, and obnoxious! Worst of all are the players who are inconsiderate of others and sit on top of NPC’s while they’re mounted on their giant dragons, making it very difficult for other players to find NPC quest givers! Blizzard apparently has zero care if players grief other customers! That’s no way to run a game
Dragonriding has seriously ruined the game for me.
You know that people were sitting on NPCs with Giant mounts before Dragonriding was a thing right? Like that’s been a thing since I started in this game back in TBC.
But it’s not? You can click through them. Blizzard made that change long ago.
