It’s funny that a lot of the guilds on this server want to call themselves “progression guilds” when all they do is PUG half of the numbers they need to do any raids. That shouldn’t count at all as progression. It’s not your guild that’s doing it as a team, you’re inviting random people and ninja looting all the good items to yourselves. Case in point is (H) God Complex. Lostwar is the biggest ninja looter I have seen on the server. He can’t decide whether or not he wants to tank or dps so he has half dps half tank raid gear. GG guy for MLing all the stuff to yourself, seems totally fair to other people 
There are other guilds out there that also say they are “progression guilds” but really, guys, if you don’t have a full raid team of more than 30 of your own members, you haven’t cleared anything as a guild. Get real and stop trying to be like Nova or Might. If you’re not a real “progression guild” don’t bother posting your results as a “PUG only guild” in the progression posting for this server. You’re only tarnishing the names of other guilds on the server who actually did it with their own members.

Due to the timing, I’m going to make a guess you’re a PUG upset about the Helm of Wrath.
Not at all. Just an observer from no guild. I’d rather keep my player name to myself as to not cause drama in game. What I said needed to be said though, and nobody was going to so I stepped up and did.

No doubt. Simply convenient timing and specifically calling out one guild when there are quite a few who use PUG raids as a recruiting tool to round out their roster.
Oh for sure. God Complex is the only one I know that ninja loots hardcore though. Ascension, Silver Tryhards, a couple of the other of the horde guilds “progressed” with PUGs only. Haven’t kept up much on my ally so I wouldn’t know as much.
What i dont really get is the competition.
This isn’t new content.
If you want to raid, being forced to abandon your guild of friends in order to do so with any hope of getting loot, sucks.
Having all the smaller guilds on server fighting over the dwindling pool of unguilded players or resorting to poaching members from each other, sucks.
Just raid, grab any 40 raid ready people and open roll everything. I mean everything. So what if the pug tank got Thunderfury.
That tank is actually more likely to ghost you and your guild if he had to leave his group of friends just to be able to raid.
Treat raids like dungeons. Its not like this is hard content right now.
I dont know about the rest of you, but I actually really like my guild and the people in it. We chat, we goof around, and we help eachother. I play this game for fun.
If I can’t raid without joining a guild of raid loggers, then I’ll just keep running 5 mans with my guild. And you all lose out on a decent raid healer.

I never intended to mean any sort of offense towards guildless people or people who have made lasting friendships In a guild they don’t want to leave. I only mean to get the harsh truth out there that these PUG only guilds shouldn’t treat themselves as progression raiders, because they aren’t. Good on them if they want to pug and get the community into raid spots. Fantastic. That doesn’t mean you should put yourselves on par with Nova, Antiquity, or Might, because you’re obviously not. It tarnishes their name and the names of the other progression guilds that have gathered 40 great people to work cohesively as a team. Not 20 guildless and 20 randoms.
I actually had someone from another guild whispering a lot of the people in my guild trying to get them to leave and join them, after I posted a guild recruitment message here.
I’ve since removed the post, but dang. Thats cutthroat, just to try to raid.
And then the MC pug, hosted by some no name guild, claiming fair and open rolls that turned into “not allowed to roll” on anything you can’t immediately equip. Sigh.
There’s tons of those types of people in game. I don’t understand poaching. It’s shallow and disrespectful. They’re already in a guild, just leave them where they are. If they want to leave, let them leave on their own volition, not by promising them all the epic loots from raids you won’t ever get them in anyway because your guild is too big to fit everyone in. I feel you on that one though, man, a friend of mine is in a guild and another was trying to poach him the day they cleared MC. Just shallow.
Ill be happy to clarify a few things for you Karlaus ( if that is your real name ). First off, for someone claiming to not start drama, you have already done so by calling out a guild you obviously have some misinformation on. Cowardly might i add. Second, any pugs we invite into our runs are explained that A) Yes there is reserved items, that is what happens when the majority of the raid is our members, we explain that to people who get invites, we also explain its a main spec > off spec rolls for items eligible to be rolled on B) We carry a lot, for example, there was a pug in our Ony raid last night who spent the entirety of the fight dead, and pulled a resounding 22 dps on our kill. They won a roll on the weapon that dropped and we handed it over, if we are as you say, then we probably would have ninja’d it, no? C) We are still recruiting, and we evaluate players in our raids to see if they will be a good fit, not everyone shares our mentality, our views, and to be frank, they whine and piss over loot that is going to be farmed for months and months and don’t understand or care to see it from a guild perspective.
To clarify on Lostwar, i have ran with him COUNTLESS times prior to joining GC, he never once ninja looted anything, and has always explained his loot rules prior to pulls. If you dont like it, then nothing is holding you back from leaving.
Guild poaching is very real, and unfortunately will never stop, thats what happens in 40-man raid content. Find a group that meshes with your personality and stick with it, thats what i and many others have done. Yes, i offer good players an opportunity to run with us and trial if they like. Not everyone cuts the mustard. Thats just how it goes.

You absolutely do not have to join our guild to benefit, if their are Pups ( pick up players, i like it more ) in our group, we allow rolls to be had. Yes, we do reserve some items, particularly Tank items, as our runs are always full of GC tanks, so that’s a non sequitur. Yes, we have reserved certain DPS “oriented” items in some past runs to help our threat situation with tanking. We have happily handed out loot to Pups, and i personally thank them myself for coming to our raids and for participating with us.
I don’t quite understand how this fabricated image has been imposed on the guild. I do understand players being butt hurt over items, but i am way past that as an adult.
You absolutely do not have to wear our guild tag, but if you are coming into a raid and expecting a roll on bindings, or any quest item, well sorry there, but no guild is ever going to allow that.

didn’t viskag go to a pug last night? we are pretty generous with loot, and putting the dank tank gear onto your guilds MT is just how its always gone.

You are dignifying this ninja looting as if it’s okay to have your MT also be decked out in DPS gear buddy… You just said MS > OS so why then is he decked out half and half? The purpose of this post is to call out “pug only guilds” from the real progression guilds. But if you want to get into your guild’s loot policies and how you justify ninja looting to your own members, that’s fine.
Me calling out your guild for ninja looting is a different story altogether, however I felt compelled to include it since your guild also claims to be “progression”. Nobody expects things. However if you guys are going to “guild host runs!” then have all of the loot be fairly distributed. Don’t ML to yourself before other people. MS > OS like you said. Roll. Make it fair. You’re only showing yourselves to be ninjas and unfair people.
You are entitled to your opinion, and i understand if you do not know or care to research Fury Tanking. There is a methodology to what we are trying to accomplish, and yes, at this point we do rely on filling some spots with PuPs. However, ninja looting and what we are doing are two very separate things.
Players throw it around very loosely without actually using it in its correct context because they are upset over some pixels with stats.
We reserve gear and we kill bosses, if you are cool with that, then we will happily take you along. If you want to help us push our " progressive " mind set into the future content, send me a tell and we can chat.
