These particular RNG quests ever made any sense

On this alt, I did the Ohn’ahran Plains quest that has you collect a salamander’s heart. I realize that this gripe isn’t new, but questing for animal parts that don’t drop from functioning animals is considerably ridiculous. Another gobsmacker is killing animals for hide (or feathers) and not getting an item drop, even though the animals have a hide (or feathers).

Blizzard, if you want to drag out a quest, make us gather 10-15 of something; but having us kill umpteen salamanders that, apparently, have no heart is just plain silly and creepy.

This shows just how ridiculous it is. And I love it.

Well, we kinda do set them on fire and hack the begeezus out of them. That doesn’t mean they have usable organs or hides by the time we’re done. lol

thats nothing the zebra has no hooves
or spider lost all 8 eyes in a fight lol

   I love the fact that the second Coyote’s teeth can be clearly seen, as it chews on back; yet, it’s toothless upon death. Spot on, CarbotAnimations!

True.

Also true.

Being reminded of these quests just makes my left eye twitch even harder.

Yeah…I’ve seen some pretty gnarly animal deaths in my lifetime just by being out in the wild. I don’t think there was a single instance where an animal’s hooves were damaged beyond recognition. That part of just about every animal is incredibly sturdy. It kinda has to be.

I think the flip side to my complaint is looting bizarre things off animals or even humanoid NPCs. I’m reminded of Weird animal anatomy in games by Viva La Dirt League.

I think you hit them too hard they just blew up well that from my point of view hitting them with Arcane blast would basically does that.

In the past, this sort of stuff bothered me a lot, but with DF, things got a lot smoother.

It really takes that much time with dragonriding and quest taking very little time to complete?
