Deathblow killshot almost certainly had something to do with doubletap getting removed. Rapidfire has a 25% chance to proc it, which meant a doubletap rapidfire had a 50% chance to also proc a huge killshot.

I agree that that is frustrating. Itās not a good spec design. Lock and load aimed shots and deathblow killshots are proc based but also significant burst damage. Ideally youād have reasonable burst that you have more control over to use appropriately in your window, and itās frustrating when you donāt get/have procs in your window. Itās also frustrating playing against it when the hunter does get lucky procs at a convenient time.
Yeah. In a couple matches last night another DH got 4 demon procs in the time I got 1 and my team was wondering why I got gapped.

The part it doesnāt seem like theyāve admitted is a problem for pvp even still, imo, is that mm replaces all of the dots and fillers and to a large extent even CDs with the difficulty of getting aimed shot off. If you put every spec side by side and looked at each oneās ability to kill a full health player without committing any cd longer than 30 seconds, mm would be very near the absolute shortest ttk. I donāt think thereās a more dangerous ranged to just park in view of and ignore for long periods

Probably high mastery dragon rage and star. Iāve gotten 98kās on mine and Iām short on mastery.

Doubletap did have a significant interaction with deathblow killshot. Rapidfire has a 25% chance to proc deathblow, so doubletap rapidfires had a 50/50 chance to also proc a big killshot. A lot of the really seemingly unfair kill windows that happened with doubletap rapidfires werenāt just from the rapidfire itself, but the fact that you set up with chakram/salvo/explosive shot into your doubletap rapidfire that had a good chance to also proc an empowered killshot. So realistically you had multiple explosive shots going off at the same time that your rapidfire is mid-channel and killshot itself is fast projectile, so there was a chance for all of that to hit literally at the same time. Your burst now just being those setups + a regular rapidfire that only gets the singular 25% proc chance on the killshot.

Hardest AS vs 420ilvl is 65k Crit on a 2.2 cast.
Also, MM burst is not from instant cast. Its double AS on ts + rapid fire + arcane crit + ks
MM needs to cast to do dmg, only other spec that need that is glacier mage, all other relies on insta proc.
Anyone with a disarm couldāve completely neutered a dt rapid fire just like a silence.

Marks is easily shut down by most capable players.
Bm with the 5% buff will be better than mm in almost every scenario, and sv damage was already really good and is now 5% better, plus mending which is good into sin and feral, with sin being extremely popular right now.

True, but the 5% buff affects everything and barbed should be your #1 damage, and all kill commands outside of the specific 4set buffed oneās are still 5% buffed.
So overall still a buff. The 4set pvp nerf was necessary or bm would be bonkers.
