Just a note though - Just because these are datamined in 10.1.5, it doesn’t mean it will actually make it to live in 10.1.5.

thank you. zero point whatsoever saying “i leave all the details here!” when all you leave is a video most people don’t want to watch

basically looks like anything that uses the same skeletons as the dragonriding mounts, which includes all of the drakes and nether drakes, proto dragons, the fire hawks, and the pterrordaxes or whatever. and the DF CE mount is included, hellelujah

Hell yeah, the Sandstone Drake is included.

But now is the time to… you know… maybe make Dracthyr’s soar into an actual dragonriding kind of system. Maybe unlimited surge forwards and skyward ascents, etc since it seems vigor will not be in use anymore.

These skeletons will probably require some alterations, because while they are similar, they aren’t quite the same. But it’s apparently easy enough for them if they’ve got this many planned out already.

Maybe I missed it on the list but I did not see the iron sky reaver on there. If any mount should be on that list, it should be that one.

It looks like a drake/dragon, has a roll animation and most importantly after burners!

I’m sorry to remind you that a dev shot this data-mined content down as a ‘work in progress’ rumor. There are no official announcements or confirmations. It could end up being antithetical to the Imps game design or technically too difficult to implement.

Blizzspeak for, “Who knows if it’ll be implemented?”
Over the years many many features discovered in data mining are never implemented.

What we are getting is dragon races, that’s certain. The rest is speculation. When blizz says ‘later’ it easily could mean never.

I am not actually expecting this at all. Blizzard rarely steps up and makes people happy with this sort of thing. It could be work for 11.0. It could be abandoned. Or anything in between.

This is awesome.

I hope they do have plans to add this to some other mounts in the future. Specifically the horse ones, Sparkle Pony, Tyreals charger, Invincible etc all use the same rigging, so they might be able to do all those in one go. Though seeing a horse do a barrel roll might be hilarious.

Also all the serpent dragons would be awesome.
