Thermaplugg's loot table is horrendous

We have 1 tank and often 1 healer (sometimes 2 depending on what we’re trying to do).

The last boss can just randomly drop a tank trinket/ring for 6 lockouts in a row. Meanwhile we have 8 dps that never even get to roll on their trinket or rings because they just don’t drop.

If we’re going to have tank and healer specific loot we should be cognizant about having it on a 25% drop chance when they’re such a small subset of the raid.

Can’t wait to pass on another mp5 trinket next raid.

RNG loot tables are horrendous indeed.

Try doing 10 gnomer runs and only getting loot 1 time on the first raid. Total items for 10 raids - 2.

Welcome to RNG.

My guild has gotten like 10 defib staves, 10 healer rings, probably like 8 healer shields.

same issue of BFD with too large of loot tables. its certainly gotten a bit better but last 2 bosses in particular have large tables. Crowd pummler does too and has a lot of useless loot and only drops 2 pieces.

Can you even call it a loot table if it isn’t based on rng?

Yes its still a table.

Imagine losing gear to subpar priests that get carried but a druid healer, feels fun to lose the rolls vs the grey parcing trash

I don’t have much complaints in general, unlike BFD I feel like I’ve mostly seen a varied amount of drops and the tier set like tokens are a huge improvement from BFD’s loot design of “literally don’t see a specific set piece until week 5 of gnomer” bad.

Grubbis is the bane of our raid though, our items always consist of a combination of the two plate belts and the nature damage leather belt.
I honestly don’t think we’ve seen anything else drop off them.

If anything I wish there was more (better itemised) healer gear. Losing a dps trinket to healers just because the healer options are trash is kinda frustrating.

Also in terms of the epic rings, I kind of feel they should be a guaranteed one of the four drop each kill. Sure they might not always be useful, but at least one will always drop.
I also feel the low chance epic drops should probably just be a bonus drop when they do? Instead of replacing a standard item drop.

uh, yup. welcome to classic buddy :expressionless:

Getting lucky is part of the game.

It is pretty wild. Been doing every reset since 2nd week and have every piece I could want except ring, trinket, and 1h. Only seen them each drop a couple times and most the raid rolled on them, so legit we might not all have our BiS gear before p3 unless they change something (which I’m assuming they won’t).

It’s just what the boss drops. If it’s one column it isn’t a table.

We have plenty of available selection for trinket at level 40 bracket, might not be BIS but serviceable at best for pvp

Columns can be pretty long.

I didn’t miss a single ID and still there are 2 epics that never dropped from thermaplugg. I saw all other epics multiple time.
Saw the mount on week 1 though.

Dude my first time as a hunter I think I got like 4-6 pieces and 2-3 off set including the epic sword. Luckiest I have ever been. My shammy just got epic staff, 2 belts, leg token, lost the epic healing ring with a roll of 90.

This mage got full irradiated on the first lockout of p2 along with staff, with neck and shoulders my mage is full phase BIS for frost (pvping in the stinky set atm) and just needs wand for fire/arcane. This is karma for how awful phase 1 was to me.

Oh so now you admit that SoD is classic.

look at you growing.

Seems like you and everyone posting on this thread would greatly benefit from personal loot ;p

My guild can’t get a single epic staff since P1. All of them have been acquired in pugs.
