There's nothing Blizzard can do to make soloers group

is it really so common for people to be this rude? When I join groups and someone starts a conversation it either goes nowhere or we all chat a bit. I’ve never seen hostility towards friendliness in wow, at worst just apathy

I’m on an odd schedule. I will never spend my nights raiding and mostly play in the mornings. DF is terrible for solo players, the content is just lacking.

Or I should say, FUN content.

Dragonflight would have been just that if they hadn’t decided to turn the main solo content into biweekly things and remove daily incentive for solo players to log on. :upside_down_face:

There are. These raiders think we’re crazy, but we’re not crazy,

Ren is crazy.

We are Legion.

Another Solo complaint post… With no mention of any actionable content ideas that Blizzard could make for solo players.

Much less content that isnt already in the game. There is more this expansion for solo players than there ever has been.

And no a gear progression for solo players to get +20 m+ or Mythic Raid ilvl gear is going to happen. There is no point is doing so.

Content has gear ilvl plateaus. For whatever your content, and difficulty level is, there are gear plateaus. In order to progress further, you have to do different or more challenging content.

The Primalist Invasion gear is the Solo Player Gear Plateau. It can be upgraded to 386i and it can be upgraded to Tier.

This expansion has Mounts, Transmog, Farming, Deterministic and upgradable gearing. All solo players want is Mythic Raid Gear from killing rares and world quests. Thats it. And arguments saying otherwise, are at their core, this argument.

I didn’t ask for that, but it’s great to hear that it’s going to happen.

Thanks for confirming that.

Yeah, there must be at least a dozend.

We’re never getting mini dungeons and the Torghast and Mage Tower clones they do will never award gear because they have a blueprint they have to follow with sub fees.

None of that stuff they experimented with ever gave gear and we’re 4 expacs deep now. Lets face it, it’s literally never happening.

Yes! Without the stupid timers or 5 star scoring system. Beat a level’s boss to advance. Have it drop gear with bonuses that only work in those instances and in the overworld. In it’s taken into PvP, regular/heroic/mythic dungeons, or raids, the bonuses don’t work.

Random things that stick out to me about this thread:

  • It’s the most I’ve ever seen the word ‘neurodivergent’ used in a thread.
    – It’s actually the first time I’ve ever noticed it used at all, and yes, I had to google it to know what it even means.
    – I still don’t really get what it means, aside from meaning someone’s different from the typical person.

  • Axaron has proven to be quite likable.

  • Furrfist is still one of the chillest Pandas around.
    – Pokes chonkeh bear belleh

  • There are some well dressed Vulpera in here.

  • Vulpeslupus is A-OK.

  • Even after all these many years of MMO’s being a thing, there are still people so ignorant as to not understand why anyone plays them if they aren’t interested in playing directly with others.

  • Grand Lord Shreddimus Von Shreddums of House Shreddilupagus is still the coolest cat in town.

  • Sends in the troop of trained sloth huggers to give everyone hugs.

they deliberately reduced solo player content this expansion by removing daily world quest content and adding all those tedious events as a way to get rep/renown.

If you think Blizzard will some how make you interesting, I think you are asking too much from a video game.

Im a solo player mostly. I main a paladin on aerie peak as a tank. Given my current ilevel the best i can do is +8s. Thing is though its not easy to get into a dungeon always. There’s a lot ot times ive been denied from groups currentlt sitting with just DPS on plus twos and threes. People are extremely picky even at lower mythic levels.

They also removed almost all the “steady” gold sources for solo-casual players in Dragonflight as well (…such as Callings and similar “guaranteed” gold-making that scaled with an alt army)

You would think this sharp/overnight SL —> to DF drop in gold income for solo-casual players might be something to bring up over on the Community Council board (wink wink)

What really irritates me about this solo vs. group content debates is the people that do current raids and mythic+ act like their $15 a month is some how more valuable than the soloers $15 a month.

A ton of bricks = a ton of feathers. One is not more heavy than the other. Same concept applies to people’s monthly sub.

So Blizzard should be creating content to make both sides happy unless raiders and mythic+ people think they can pay all the bills by themselves.

Fellow ND lass here. I literally just do not participate in content that requires group play, if I don’t want to. Sometimes, I do. Then I just hit the nice big ol’ group finder button, get in and get out with usually zero talking at all, and go about my day.

Not all content has to be for everyone. You will always have a group of people feeling left out or not catered to in some way, and trying to appease every one of them and their personal wants and needs just ends up with a horridly balanced, mishmash of a video game.

Just don’t do the content that forces you to group. We don’t need huge gear numbers for overworld stuff, anyway. 385 is more than comfy for most classes, and we’ll get welfare gear later on anyway, and catch-up gear before the next expansion.

You’ll survive, I promise.

That said, more solo-oriented content that doesn’t infringe on M+/raider content would be welcome. Starting with giving us daily and rotating WQs back. But there’s honestly not much of a reason for us to have progression content with rewards that rival M+ and raid gear. Most content solo players do doesn’t need it.

At best, having our own separate progression system that only works inside that progression path. Sort of like Torghast, but. Y’know. Better.

A whole dozend?

Blizzard is too focused in trying to force people to play Mythic + and Mythic raiding. Which both systems are by design to limit who can play them and promote players to exclude people they do not feel qualified to play.

Worse of all they try to drag out gearing in such a way, to try to keep people subbing just for that .001% chance of getting something. Of course if you are willing to spend most of your days during the week playing WoW like a job to make sure you get every single method of gearing possible your odds of getting items to gear up are better. How ever that is a lot of work for just a few peace’s of gear that may or may not be a upgrade.

In the ending, WoW has gone from being a game that most people enjoy playing as fun to a game that is just one huge chore after another with little or no feeling of reward but just :poop: work.

I’m not even sure how to do non-legacy raids. I assume it’s just setting the difficulty to Mythic and queuing up?

It’s clear how the gear treadmill operates, and I never ran on it because I can’t be bothered. I feel like most everyone else is losing their patience with it at this point. Blizzard’s carrot is old and rotten, and a lot of us never wanted a carrot to begin with, so their incentives are weak.

It’s not bad if you just level alt after alt and avoid all the content after Legion.
