The fact that they’re still trying is kind of sad, honestly.
We aren’t going to participate in group content systems of any kind. When it comes to us, any and all work done on mythics, raids, and the vault was wasted.
Why not design an expansion with everyone in mind for once? It would almost certainly improve subscriber numbers.
I’m not solo because I hate group content, it’s just that I don’t care about endgame content as a second job. How do I put this in a way blizzard would understand? Time is money friend.
What would you add to the game to cater to solo players? I feel like you have to walk a sort of fine line to create content that make solo play as rewarding as group play, while not also just cannibalizing anyone who does group content because solo content is more reliable.
Add Torghast 2 ghast 2 furious and make it have nothing to do with legendaries or some other power system raiders or dungeoneers or pvpers have to interact with for their stuff. Just its own progression system.
That’s one thing.
I solo WoW. I just don’t find much of the content compelling anymore.
I think mostly, it’s the lack of old-style daily quests. I enjoyed them a lot, and I’m much less into World Quests because they aren’t as much like a checklist of things to do - which I liked.
I consider myself a solo player, but I will do LFR from time to time and group up for some of the open world content. Even if I didn’t there is still plenty of content. There are many types of solo/casual players out there. Maybe you are just done with the game…
There should be solo content… like old dungeons having scaled up quests and mobs so that solo players can go on ‘missions’ to retrieve stuff from the old dungeons, like we did in legion for some of our artifacts.
I would not mind being sent into Scarlet Monastery or stratholme with harder mobs inside for daily quests for currency or random strong gear that isnt raid teir worthy… or at least gear that is equal to last patch’s tier without any set bonuses or gem slots and the such.
Wow is a group/community game, and so the best rewards and most powerful gear should always be reserved for those who complete raids of variable difficulties… but solo players having single person dungeon experiences and pvp content to keep them going while rewarding them with nice stuff is not a bad thing.
While MMOs are community-based, parallel play is preferrable to grouping for neurodivergent people, and neurotypical people can enjoy parallel play as well. I enjoy encountering other players on my journey, knowing that they are on their own.
I’d settle for an expansion not focused around raiders and PvP myself… I’m sick of the elitists going out of their way making folk like myself without a guild let alone the desire to join one…like garbage. Why do i not try to pug raids or PvP or do mythics…because I hate the toxic behavior I deal with in those areas. I mean I’ve had people camp the graveyards in battlegrounds before…that’s no fun in the slightest. I ask my teammates if they can clear them out and they just laugh at me and say it’s my problem or that I’m fail. When i pug raids I lose out on loot for dumb reasons and just like mythics I get blamed for the failer of others. Yeah no…I’m fine flying lone wolf or well i guess in my case lone fox
I can only handle so much social activity a day before I get overwhelmed, so I get it. I am fully in support of solo play, but ive been grinding and raiding and pvping for so many years in this game… after everything ive seen… I am still firmly in the camp of giving the strongest rewards to the folks that do the hardest content that requires the most coordination and team work.
Thats why ive always loved pvp gear… i can grind that all by myself, just que up and pvp for rewards. Its not the -best- gear but its still damn good.
I don’t understand what a solo player even is or why anybody would even call themselves that.
I play solo most of the time. r will solo que for pvp (which is not really solo gameplay). But if my buddies on I’ll play with him. And if I wanna find a good partner in a pvp I might add him to play more with them.
I used to trade and auction house stuff too. That’s not exactly solo.
